You need to go to SHOP, you see the merchant, click several times on A (left button) until he has a look of fear.
Then, use the buttons:
A: left button
B: middle button
C: right button

Type these codes:
CBACCABC: Clock
ABBAACBA: Cake
BCABACBC: Steak
AABBCACB: Remote-controlled car
CACABABC: Teddy bear
ACBBBACC: Potion
BCBCCABA: Costume (rare)

There you go... have fun!

If you want a code to gain 300 Gotchi at once, go to the heart and then to PC, there will be a code (this code is useless). You press the middle button and type: 5034122315 and your Tamagotchi will come back with a bag, and when it opens, you'll get 300 Gotchi inside!!!!!!
