Avira Antivirus won't open on startup.

Hello,
my antivirus does not open automatically when I start IE7, I have to do it manually
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    To enable the launch of Avira at startup:

    Go to start menu -> run -> type msconfig -> go to startup uncheck Avira then restart.

    is it not starting or is it just the umbrella icon that isn't appearing in the systray at the bottom right?

    I have already had this and it disappeared: right-click on the umbrella and disable "Antivir guard enable" and re-enable it.

    Thank you, I right-click every time I open the internet, but I have to do it every time! I would like it to start by itself.

    I tried the trick but since it didn't work, I canceled Avira and re-downloaded it and it seems to work. Thanks everyone, I find the forum interesting (I've only had Internet for 6 months).
    I regret not having thought of it sooner. It's HUGE!

    The Avira umbrella does not open; it says "stopped" at the bottom right. I have to click "start" every time.
