Hello, I am an artist and I create montages for shows. I would like to know how to mix a piece without it being too fast or too slow given the different sampling rates. When I try to resample, it affects the entire song.

I'm just starting out with Soundforge using a trial of version 8, but I don't speak English... I would like to find a patch, or a trial version of Soundforge 7 in French, or even a freeware version of Soundforge 7... thank you for your help

    Hello Olivier,

Can you clarify your question please??? (from which source are you recording???)
Sound Forge records a single audio track (mono or stereo) but for example, if you record the instrumental from a CD or the line-in and record the voice from the microphone input, you can record the overall mix with Sound Forge if your recording settings are properly configured.
However, if you want to sing over an instrumental, I recommend a DAW software like Cubase, Logic, or Samplitude, etc... => this way you can mix the vocals with the instrumental and apply effects.
That said, for more specific advice, please clarify your question (what do you want to do???)

    Best regards,

    Tom

I'm starting to delve into music using software. Could someone send me the user manual for Sound Forge and/or Cubase, or offer some advice? I'm not very good at computers or English. But thank you in advance...

Hi, I use Sound Forge 6.0 to make mixed compilations with Acid. Can we use markers so that once the CD is burned, we can access the tracks independently, like on a regular CD, instead of having just one index at the beginning of the CD and having to fast forward through the tracks one by one?
    Thanks lots!

The website www.laspirale.net offers to Frenchify your program for free in just a few seconds. You type "Soundforge 7" in the "search" window, then choose the French patch. It's super simple and effective!

Hi everyone, I recently acquired the software Sound Forge 6.0 in English.
Unfortunately, I'm not great at English!
I'm looking for someone who could help me with the manual in my language and assist me in recording any sound coming from the sound card!

    Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone, I stumbled upon this forum by chance, and I realize it will be very useful for all the explanations I need.
    So I have 2 questions:
I'm also looking for the French manual for Sound Forge 6; would it be possible to send it to me by email?
And could I also get the latest update for Sound Forge since the PC I installed it on doesn't have internet (also to the same address)?
    Thanks in advance ;) Smane

Hello, yes it's possible, but for that you need to have a multitrack table (like a mixing console), but it's used for recording.
    I have a Mackie CFX12 mixer
and I'm setting up a home studio!!!! lol

For mixing multiple sounds and compiling,
it is better to use a program like Samplitude, it handles both MIDI and WAV.

Soundforge is useful for preparing your sound before retrieving it
in a multitrack program such as Samplitude (Cubase, Nuendo).

The question is not clear: Soundforge can record sounds of any nature. It can then mix them: if that's what you want to do, just record the voice as one track, the instrumental as a second track.
Second step: you open the two sounds (but you'll only see one on the screen until you click on "window" in the taskbar if your program is in French). There, you choose the display you prefer: I use the two tracks one above the other, so horizontal display. Then, you drag one of the two tracks over the other: the mixing window will then open automatically, and it's up to you to fiddle around to find the ideal mix...
