Hello,
I just bought the Takara DIV90 portable DVD player (9"). When I tried it, I realized that when I play a DVD, the sound works, but there is no image (even though the image appears on the welcome screen with the Takara logo when it is turned on).
Could you please help me?

I had a similar problem with an initial player, Norauto did a standard exchange for me. I used it once. When I tried to use it a second time, the same problem occurred: black screen and only sound. After a few minutes of charging, the image came back. I then placed it on my children's headrest in the vehicle. We stopped on the road and when I took my daughter out of the vehicle, the device began to smoke and smelled burnt; I barely had time to remove the device from the cigarette lighter. I contacted the retailer and the manufacturer but they're not panicking about it. For now, I'm waiting for news. They want to repair it for me, but even if it's repaired, I won't put it in front of my children's faces again. Dangerous product or not, I think it was important to let you know.

I have exactly the same problem as you with the Takara IV90 that I just received. Were you able to resolve the issue, and if so, how?

I called Takara and they told me it was a manufacturing problem and to send it back to Amazon, which I did and I got a refund.
Here is the translation:
