I too, the same, for several weeks I have been trying in vain to connect my device to the internet.
I have a Freebox, router activated, automatic IP, DHCP enabled, but once all the settings are entered, nothing happens and I can't connect.
I have contacted Philips customer service many times, and they have given me a lot of different information. The latest was that I need to fill in the DNS1, DNS2, Gateway fields in the internet settings section. I'm reaching the limit of my skills and I filled it out as best as I could with the information I found, but still nothing!
They also told me that the box must be compatible with the UPnP protocol (which it is), but they don't say whether it needs to be activated...
It's becoming very frustrating, especially since Philips constantly blames the ISP or the network, whereas I'm sure that if they provided clear and precise information instead of reading the manual, it would be much better!
I sincerely hope that someone can help us, give us the right information; it would be a shame not to be able to use the Wifi connection...
Let's be patient...

Hello,
I just read your message, have you solved your problem? I bought the mini-chain and the internet connection setup seemed very simple to me.
After entering my email address into the chain, I received an email in my inbox from CostumerCare@philips.
In the first email, they send you a link to the terms and conditions, you have to accept them at the end.
Once that's done, their second email tells you that you are connected.

Hello
I have the same problem. The mini chain never asked me for my address and therefore registering the product is problematic.... and I'm unable to find in the menu where to provide the email address. Could you advise me?
Thank you!

Hi,
I'm in the same situation as you almost a year later with the same setup (Freebox + MCI500H), meaning my local network works well, the micro-chain can read music from my PC, I can change the settings of the chain from the PC, I can access the internet from my PC but it’s impossible from the MCI500H. I suppose I need to complete the DNS1 + DNS2 + gateway settings, but how?
Did you find a solution?
See you!

Same for me, I've been struggling a lot for a week. I'm sending content without any problem, it's just this damn internet radio mode that I can't get to work.

When I submit my email, I always get an error saying "Unable to connect to the internet server."

According to the Philips hotline, this Product ID should not be taken into account; it does not exist for the MCi500. They say everything is handled through the chain, but whenever I enter my email in Internet Radio, I get an error every time: "Unable to connect to the internet server." I am also eagerly waiting for Philips to do something.

Let's keep in touch!

I just bought the same chain and I have the same problem. I just called Philips and they told me it was normal because they are repairing the server. It's a mess, there you go.

Identical problem, but resolved; here’s how: internet connection via Orange Livebox, first you need to retrieve the WiFi key from the identification label attached to the Livebox, which consists of 26 alphanumeric characters. Then modify the WEP key (WiFi security) using the remote control as proposed on the Philips radio when you type home - internet radio - network settings - auto config, where it offers you a key that needs to be replaced with the key you previously noted from the box (26 characters). Before hitting OK to validate the new key, press the REG button on the Livebox located near the power cord once. Proceed with automatic IP, then save. Disconnect the power, then reconnect to the internet radio and the nice surprise, Philips will ask you for the ID (your email address) which you will enter using the remote control. Within a minute, Philips will email you asking you to register, and once registered, you will finally have access to a multitude of radios. I went through the Philips and Orange hotlines to gather all this information. I hope it will help you resolve this poorly documented issue with Philips. To verify that the device is online, go to home - internet radio - information - @ip; it should have assigned you an @ from your local subnet, and you should promptly ping this address from your PC, the device should respond to you.

Hello,
I have the same problem but with the Neufbox from SFR (model AH4222).
No matter how many times I type in the 26 characters of the WEP key, they don't seem to register in the chain because, when looking at the network information, only the first 8 characters are displayed.
As a result, I don’t get an IP address and I can’t do anything.
- I can't register the product
- I can't access internet radio
- I can't load music from my computer

It's quite frustrating to end up with just a simple radio.
Thank you in advance to anyone who might have a clue to resolve this situation.

I'm also sorted, I succeeded last night.

Actually, I entered the email of my Philips Club account, then it didn't give me any errors and asked for the password. I entered the password of my Philips Club account, and I received an email, and it registered my product with the Internet Radios.

It's working perfectly, there's a huge selection of radios; however, several of them don't work (e.g. Skyrock).

Do not pay attention to this ID, do not register it on the Philips site, but rather through your channel.

This product ID does not exist, don't look for it.

Your channel will send an email and this email will allow you to register your MCi500.

THANK YOU to JAJA87, thanks to him my problem is solved.
For everyone who has a live box, when you have entered your WEP key number with 26 characters and just before validating by pressing OK, go to your live box and press the "REG" button located next to the power cord. Then press OK with the remote control of the Philips system. And there, like magic, we connect to the Philips server (finally....!!!).
I confirm it works now. Good luck to all
And once again, A THOUSAND THANKS to SUPER JAJA87

Hello,

I'm at my wits' end. I'm with FREE.

My device connects well to the Wi-Fi but my PC can't find it. Customer service told me to download Twonkymedia but it doesn’t change anything.

I've spent about 8 hours on the hotline.

I want to throw it away because, like you, we bought it for this PC/device connection.

Thank you for any help or encouraging messages.

Hello,

I had this problem at the very beginning, my PC couldn't connect to the channel.
You need to connect as "administrator" and since then it works perfectly. I should mention that I'm using "VISTA", it may be different in your case.
Good luck.

I am on XP. Should I be admin?

Hello!
I've been looking for the solution for 2 days... finally, I found it with the help of the Philips hotline and the Free hotline. Basically, you first need to change the "DHCP" router settings in your Free account, remove the MAC, and switch to channel 7... and that's it for me, it allowed me to connect and enter my email on the channel. Then I followed the procedure to register the channel.
As for you, since you're on XP, I don't think it's related to Windows.. call your internet service provider, they should be able to help you out!

Same problem until the day I declared WDAM as an exception in the Windows firewall (control panel/ Firewall/ exceptions tab and check WDAM). Since then, no more issues.

Hello,

It may have nothing to do with it, but I’m looking to buy this chain, and I don’t want any Wi-Fi broadcast. Do you know if it’s possible to physically turn off the Wi-Fi? That means the chain doesn’t emit anything at all, a bit like the functionality on a Freebox.

The Philips hotline told me that all I needed to do was enter incorrect Wi-Fi settings to make the chain not emit??? I have doubts!!!

Thank you for your responses and also thank you for avoiding controversies about waves; that’s not the subject.

For your information, you cannot turn off the Wi-Fi on the Streamium range, but if you are not connected, the system keeps searching for a Wi-Fi network regardless of the model of the system, whether it's the WAC 700 or MCI.

Hello everyone
Personally, I had the same problem as you, but I managed to solve it. With the "automatic" installation, I had to enter my 13-character WEP key instead of the 26-character one that was automatically displayed. I tried several times. The problem was that after my 13 characters, I pressed the 0 key to delete the last digits when I should have pressed the CLEAR button on the remote. Once it was saved, I turned it off and on again. And perfect! A real pleasure.
Hope I helped you!

Thank you Alex60, it works.
You needed to use the clear button instead of deleting the other characters with the 0 button.

The installation isn't very user-friendly (especially with the remote control buttons).
Well, now I'm going to try to connect to the internet radio.
