Right speaker is producing no sound!!!

Hello,

Here is my problem: Yesterday, I bought Logitech Z-5 speakers, I installed them on my computer, and I turned them on: Problem: only the left speaker works (the one you have to connect to the other) and the right one is crackling. I thought it was normal and that it was due to their first use: indeed, it works fine after 5 minutes. The issue is that at one point I turned up the volume (not super loud, around 3/4 of the max volume) and then, bam, the right speaker stopped working...

I have reconnected/reinstalled/uninstalled it 2-3 times and it still doesn’t work...

What should I do????

Thank you very much for your responses ^^

    Hi,

Have you adjusted the sound? You right-click on the microphone icon in the taskbar and select: Adjust audio properties

Then in the window, under the "Volume" tab, you see your speakers. Click on "Speaker Volume" and you can adjust the left and right with the slider. By clicking on "Advanced," you can define whether they are desktop speakers, portable ones...

Also, you right-click on the microphone icon > Volume Control
And adjust the "Balance" in this window.

Otherwise, it might be the speakers themselves.

    Bye!

Okay, I've already done all that, so does that mean the speakers are not working???

(If that's the case, I REALLY have bad luck!)

Have you also checked in the Device Manager? If there are any yellow points?
Start > Right-click on "Computer" and select: Properties > "Hardware" tab

Open the Device Manager. You can update your device drivers.....
Right-click on the SOUND device line and select: Properties and Driver tab > Update Driver.

You can also configure your speakers like this:
Start > Control Panel > Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices > Realtek HD Audio Manager

In the Realtek window > "Audio I/O" tab and make adjustments there....

Well, I have 2 unknown devices, otherwise all the others are up to date...

Moreover, when I went to Realtek and tested the sound, it came out of my screen and not the speakers...

So I'm going to return the speakers to where I bought them...

I'm really fed up; on the computer I bought, the internal hard drive, the motherboard, and a RAM stick didn't work... and now the speakers are acting up >_<

Anyway, thanks a lot for your replies ^^

      Good luck to you

Another little trick...... Click on the microphone icon and ask: Volume control

In the window, at the top left, you see > "Options" Click there and ask "Properties"

You can make sure you have checked the hardware in the menu, and have requested "playback" and "output"

I hope you get your sound back! :)

      But no! :)))

It's not always obvious, but I'll give you hints, you'll succeed. You have to be patient. And others may know the answer.

You can also go here > https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29

      Requests > Start detection

Then you will have a report of all the devices installed on your PC. And the drivers that are installed (in black) and offered for update (in blue)

Check if you see the device lines for your speakers.....And install the drivers.

      For the installation > https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=21&v_code=9&v_p=1

      >>> I found something else here, do all the tests ......before thinking about returning your speakers :))) Near the end of the page, you have other little tests to do > http://bvrve.club.fr/Astuces_Michel/210xp.php

In any case, good luck to you! Have a nice day anyway :)

Well, I don't have any sound driver updates, but maybe it's due to the others??? I'll install all of them :P

    Ok :)
Because it could also be the driver for your sound card that needs to be updated...

And you know, if it's your player like "Windows Media Player" that you want to play, there is a "Playback" tool to check in the player, and uncheck "mute"

Well, I’ve installed everything (all the drivers that were willing to work, but the right speaker still doesn’t work...)

I’m going to uninstall everything and reinstall it again, and if that doesn’t work, FNAC!!!! >_<

Check that your speakers are properly connected behind your PC....

Sorry to hear it's still not working. Do you now have sound on the left speaker?

        Make the initial adjustments again.

        Bye! :))

Well, the left speaker has been working since the beginning, that's why it's strange...

Especially since it's the left speaker that receives the information from the remote control, and this function works very well...
