Memory stick formatting issue psp 8gb help!

Hello,

I just bought a memory card for PSP (it's an 8GB micro SD) and when I put it in my PSP it says:

Memory stick reading impossible.
Go to [Settings], [System Settings] to format the memory stick.

So I do what it says, I go to settings, system settings and when I try to format the memory stick it says:

Formatting failed
(80220087)

Can someone help me please?

PS: don't use complicated terms, I'm not an expert. ^^

    Salut, it seems that a PSP uses a Memory Stick Duo and not a micro SD.

    Heu, for the card, you can either put it in your computer's reader, connect it via a phone linked to the computer, or format it directly through the phone. Alternatively, you can connect the PSP to your computer via the USB cable if it indeed recognizes the card! Because I have a similar problem with my Samsung E250, and the phone didn't want to format it either.

      If you work with an adapter and a micro SD: Your SD must be formatted in FAT and then reformatted from the PSP.

      Right-click on the letter corresponding to the USB adapter and choose format, then click ok when it tells you that all data will be erased, and finally you will arrive at a window where you can choose the system, so FAT

        That's what I did but it doesn't work, it tells me:

        Windows failed to format the removable disk or something like that...

      Once you plug your adapter into the PSP and format it from your console by going to system settings, doesn't that work either?

    nothing works at all! I hate my PSP! But I'm keeping it anyway ^^

    Moi aussi, j'avais le même problème, mais j'ai essayé plusieurs fois de la formater jusqu'à ce qu'elle se formate. Mon problème est qu'elle me dit qu'aucun memory stick n'est inséré.

    I had the same problem, the solution is that your adapter has bugs lol for formatting you keep it pressed down with your thumb and it should work peace
