Printer issue = green saturation

Question

Hello,
I have a Canon i950, but lately I've noticed some problems with printing.
When I try to print a photo, it does print, but it’s extremely green, whereas that never happened in the past.

However, I have tried several times to print color circles or test print files, and they come out perfectly ==> nothing to say.
But I managed to compare a photo printed before the issue (perfect) and after (green).

I want to emphasize that the print heads are regularly cleaned, and I only use certified Canon cartridges for this printer since I've owned it, because I've seen too many bad reviews about third-party cartridges (but I don't want to reopen that debate).

If anyone knows how to help me, that would be nice, so I'll leave you with that.

I had the same problem; the cause was that I had installed a photo magenta cartridge instead of a magenta one, so I ended up with two photo magenta cartridges, and the result was a green tint.

Hello,
I had a similar problem with a S630 four-color printer but the green started well and then disappeared, leaving only a nasty purple!!
After a bunch of messages to Canon, I got no effective response other than to clean the print head +++ I had to abandon a print head that costs about €150
So!!!! I changed printers!
They told me it might have been off for too long?
Anyway, I don't know more; if you find a solution, could you send it to me at

First of all, thank you for the responses. I hope it's not the print head...
Otherwise, the ink level is good since I changed it not long ago... but I want to point out that I already changed my cartridges before and that I print regularly!

It's me again,
Just so you know, I had the chance to test my Canon under Linux, the photos are no longer saturated in green, but in red?
Could it be a driver issue?

I want to point out that the printing of a logo is perfect with the printer, it's just the images that are ugly, really ugly...

Hi,  Have you checked the various settings? For example, in printers > properties > Color management... is it set to automatic? (probably better than a custom management)...  Catch you later Best, Us.

My printer is back to normal; in fact, the photo magenta cartridge was the only one I hadn't changed, and although it was half full, it was defective. I changed it, cleaned it, and I'm good to go.
