How to add a desktop icon?

To add a program icon to the desktop, simply open Windows Explorer, locate the folder that contains the program (usually in program files\program name)

right-click on the program executable and click on "Send to" > Desktop shortcut

If the program is in the Start menu: Start > all programs, right-click on the icon that launches the program and Send to > Desktop to create a shortcut.

To add this program to the quick launch bar, just drag the icon to it and release it; it will be added to the bar.
