Hello,
I bought my son the Guitar Hero pack for XBOX 360 with drums and guitar for Christmas, and after 3 months and 10 days of warranty, the drums broke down; the red drum no longer works. Since the warranty is no longer valid, I'm not sure what to do in this case. Has anyone had this kind of problem before?
Who can repair this kind of equipment, and what could the cost be? Can a good handyman tackle this kind of repair? Do stores like Micromania have repair services?
Please help me because I'm a bit lost, and I really don’t want to be wandering around with my drums under my arm looking for a solution.
In any case, considering the price we pay for this kind of equipment, a 90-day warranty is really limited, especially since we buy it in advance to make sure the kid has it for Christmas (purchase on December 3rd). He must have played for about fifteen hours in total.

The correct procedure requires a TORX 9 screwdriver to remove the bottom (don’t forget the two screws hidden under the anti-slip feet).
You then have access to the wires for the different "tome"=pad.
Unplug the broken pad’s wire at the small connector, then free it from the supports that guide it to the pad (there are rigid glue points to detach).
You have the option to detach the entire pad and its colored support by unscrewing the four screws to be more comfortable, but I didn’t do that. I directly separated the pads from the green support (red or blue) by pressing one by one on the three retaining pegs to pass them through the holes of the colored plastic support.
You then have the ability to access the connection wires under the TOME, one of which is broken at the point of rigid glue (red in my case) that holds it.
Carefully remove this glue from the two wires, make a splice (with a solder point preferably) after carefully stripping both parts of the wire (be careful as they are thin and fragile, so I advise using a wire stripper...).
I refixed the wires without putting them under tension with a bit of electrician's tape to give them enough slack.
Then reposition the tome in its colored plastic support (by applying limited pressure at the peg side of the "tome", it goes back into place easily).
Reposition the wires in the notches (I didn’t put any glue back but you can possibly add a bit of silicone if you have it).
Reconnect the small connector (in the correct direction without forcing it).
Then partially reattach the bottom cover.
Do a test.
If it’s okay, put in the remaining screws.
Of course, this manipulation will void your warranty, so only do it if
- you do not want to spend time claiming the warranty
- you are sure you can do it
- your warranty has expired...
Thanks to this intervention, my wife was able to immediately resume her rehearsals. It’s actually her who found your explanations, just so you know how motivated she was.

Hello, I have a problem; the foot pedal of my Guitar Hero drum set is not working anymore, and I'm looking for either a way to fix it or to know where I could buy a new one. Thank you for your help!!!!
Hello yes indeed it was my green tom that stopped working, so I removed the tom and it was just the wire that came loose... I needed some glue and now it works, it's as simple as that ^^
Call customer service, I spoke to them earlier about another issue and they told me that due to all the returns they have received, they are exceptionally extending the warranty up to 6 months, 7 max.
You have the number in the game manual, but here it is just in case: 0825 15 00 24, €0.15/min including tax, Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 7 PM.
