Hello,
I have been looking for an answer to my question for some time!
I would like to connect my DELSON CONCERTO 8875 Synthesizer Piano to my PC for use with CUBASE.
I have MIDI IN and OUT ports on the Piano with 5 pins, but I'm not sure about the cable width as I don't have anything to measure it, so it's difficult to know. I think someone who owns a DELSON might be able to tell me.
I don't know what connectors to use.
I know that there are USB outputs, but I wonder if they slow down the exchange between the Synth and the PC.
There are other connectors, but I haven't understood where to find them, how to connect them, etc.
In short, I don't have any knowledge in this area and I would like to have a bit more information. Any information and sites would be helpful.
Thank you in advance, and I will update you on the progress of my issue as soon as it is resolved!

Hi, so if you're working on Cubase, you must have an audio interface (external sound card)??
Buy a MIDI cable (which is usually 1.5 meters long) that costs 10 euros in any guitar or keyboard store...
Plug this cable into the "MIDI out" of your keyboard and into the "MIDI in" of your interface. And there you go, you're all set.
Later!

Why have an external sound card? I have an audio input on my sound card directly, just like for the microphone! Otherwise, I have an audio input via my motherboard! I also have the option to connect it via USB!
Just because I use CUBASE doesn't mean I automatically need an external sound card!
In any case, thank you for your response!
I know I have 3 inputs that I can use (at least I believe so)
My problem isn't there! The length of the cable isn't either; it's the diameter of the connectors that poses problems for me.
I output in MIDI OUT with a 5-Pin output for which I don't know the diameter, nothing is specified in the instrument's manual, whereas I find all kinds of MIDI cables online and I don't know which one to choose!
So this is the first problem!
The second problem is where to find MIDI cables that end in USB or for Joystick Port or Input Port (but once again, I don't know if it exists for input ports like a microphone.)
Anyway, I have been wanting to make this connection for a long time, but not wanting to buy equipment for nothing, I prefer to ask once and for all rather than spending time on Google and not finding simple answers!
Thanks again to you Lonely ;)

Hello, the jack plugs for microphones and headphones have nothing to do with MIDI...
jacks are for transmitting sound and MIDI is for transmitting kinds of digital codes, so what you want to do won't work...
you need a MIDI cable on one side and either USB or joystick on the other... I just bought one myself in USB (one more) on eBay for 11 euros... (to sync a drum machine to Fruity Loops) and it works very well.
