Hello,
I saw on the Internet a lot of people applying on forums or I don’t know what!
I’m one of those people too, but now it’s over!
I managed to fix the R button on my DS!
Here’s the trick:
For those who only have an ELECTRONIC problem with their button.
It’s a bit crazy, but it works!
So I’ll list what I did in order:
I took a wipe
I wiped the R button with it
I blew a little into it
I put my nail in the corners of the button. That is to say, I moved the button a bit to get my nail in to remove the dirt! (Don’t remove the button! Just move it a little so you can get your nail in and clean it)
Then you test it! It worked for me EVERY TIME!!
The trick isn’t guaranteed and even if you don’t see any dirt, you should still put your nail in!
Good luck! (The button acted up again, but I tried again and it worked) I’ll put proof in video form if my button has problems again! I’m not sure, but in this case, the button is likely a victim of dirt. But there could be other things too, but still try it! It might also work for the L button! I’ll say it again, Good Luck!

Hello,
For those who don't know how to solder and want to have this repaired, they can go here. I've already called on them for a similar issue and it's perfect :D

Thank you walidd94 for the good tip, it works perfectly. I admire you, these tricks are really remarkable… THANK YOU.
Thank you very much, man. At first, I didn't believe in your method, my 2 buttons weren't working anymore, but now it's fixed. Thanks again for this method.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying and apparently the cross on the DS and DS Lite is a well-known problem, especially on the diagonals... It's shameful given how much this kind of toy costs; there shouldn't be any issues, or they must not be testing before selling? Thankfully, there’s the touch screen...
I did some research and found several videos explaining how to disassemble the DS, but it seems to be a bit tricky... and delicate... Here's an example:

To fix it, you would need to change the rubber contact pads under the buttons. It's worth a try... You can find them on eBay (DS button kit, NDS...) and definitely in specialized stores or websites.

So I'm going to try to fix everything, the console is no longer under warranty...

Good evening, wanting to reassemble my DS Lite following a change of the touch screen, I'm struggling with reassembling the L and R buttons. Indeed, there's no way to keep each of the two springs in place that allow them to return to their position once pressure is released. I'm beginning to wonder if they might not be held in place by small metal cylinders that I might have misplaced. If you have a disassembled DS Lite nearby, any information (or even better, precise photos) would be greatly appreciated...
TROOO COOL, MY DSi BUTTONS WEREN'T WORKING AND I WAS ABLE TO FIX THEM THANKS TO THE METHOD ON YOUTUBE.
Bonjour, I'd like to thank walidd94 because my L button was also stuck and I cleaned it and it worked!!!
