Hello,
I bought the game mirror's edge on PC in English and I would like to have it in French. Can someone give me an address to download a French patch for mirror's edge? Also, if possible, the method for installing it.
Thank you.

Once the game is installed (which is multilingual but installs by default in English), do as follows:
- start
- run
- type "regedit"
- go to: "HKEY LOCAL MACHINE", "SOFTWARE", "EA GAMES", "Mirror's Edge"
- in this folder, at the line "Locale" change "eng-uk" to "fr"
and there you go, the game is fully in French :-)

Ah... here it is.... I have the box version of the game. You apparently bought it on Steam.
So I recommend looking in the registry under HKEY LOCAL MACHINE - SOFTWARE, for all folders related to Mirror's Edge.
Check in the folders for Valve (the developer of Steam), Steam, Electronic Arts (publisher of Mirror's Edge), DICE (the development studio of Mirror's Edge), EA (again Electronic Arts), etc.
Maybe you'll find the "locale" variable somewhere that will allow you to set the game to French.
If you see another variable name with the parameter "eng-uk," you can try changing it to "fr," and you'll see if that works.

No, there's no need to restart the PC. This modification indicates to the game's executable that the default language is French...
Look, I don't know, are you sure you made the change correctly, that you put the "fr" parameter in the right section (without quotes)?
I did exactly the same thing, I found this trick on a forum, and it worked right away... So I don't know... I installed the 1.01 patch... did you install it?

UP I have the same problem bought in England on special offer does not include multi-language, if you had solutions to make it French ;D
1) For 64-bit systems (like almost all new PCs these days), you need to go through this path instead of the one proposed by Mitch: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" > "SOFTWARE" > "Wow6432Node" (this is where the registry keys for 32-bit programs and games, like Mirror's Edge, are located) > "EA Games" > "Mirror's Edge"
Then, go to the line "Locale" and replace "eng_uk" with "fr" or any other language as Mitch aptly states.
2) /!\ Apparently does not apply to the Steam version of the game /!\ If you’re missing a folder or the line "Locale", you just need to create them: to create a folder, click on the parent folder (For example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is the parent folder of SOFTWARE) and click "Edit" > "New" > "Key"
And to create the line "Locale", you need to know its type: String. So we’ll position ourselves in the key (i.e., the folder) "Mirror's Edge" and click "Edit" > "New" > "String Value". This will create the necessary line "Locale" on the right side which currently has no value. To assign a value to it, double-click on the name of the line, a window will pop up asking you to enter the desired value.
With that, I’ll take my leave and thank Mitch for providing this solution :)
