Hello,
so here I am reposting a topic regarding my problem
with the virtual keyboard on my PSP, I can no longer type, whether
on the Internet, on the system, or even in certain games.
The keyboard appears for a millisecond and then disappears.
I have tried formatting, but nothing works,
resetting to default settings doesn't work either.
So I'm turning to the great community of commentsamarche lol !!!

Hello,
I see this topic is old, but when I searched for a solution to the same problem on Google, this one appeared, so I'm providing information for those who may encounter this issue ;)
Having the same problem myself, I focused closely on fixing it. I started by checking the Software (software), but that has nothing to do with it; it seems to be a Hardware (hardware) issue. It appears that the ribbon cable for the buttons "Start, Select, Volume, HOME, brightness and sound" is faulty, even though the other buttons on that cable work; it is this one that needs to be replaced. I just ordered it and should receive it in 2 to 3 business days, and I will come back to let you know if that solved my problem ;)
Also, do you have the issue with the HOME button when you're in a game and want to return to the XMB? A window appears, but you can't select "YES"?
If so, put your PSP on "HOLD" (ON/OFF button), then disable "HOLD" without turning off your console, and then miraculously, you can select "YES". This problem is also related to the ribbon cable, from what I've read ;) -
Well, I'm back, it is indeed the "START" tablecloth, so we need to change that to resolve the issue ^^

Ok, so to solve your problem, you need to replace the ON/OFF ribbon cable located under the screen. To do this, you have to disassemble the front panel and replace the defective part. Just so you know, the ribbon cable costs about €5 ;)
