Amplifier Connection - Speaker

Bonjour, voici la traduction de votre message : Hello, I have a sound system in my truck. I have an Oxygene Spiral F100 amplifier (http://www.oxygenaudio.com/ui/templates/productspace/product.aspx?product=39), a 3-way separate Oxygène Air 83 system (http://www.oxygenaudio.fr/UI/Templates/ProductSpace/Product.aspx?Product=22), and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer (http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=4&series_id=31&family_id=9&item_id=91793&locale=en_US). I would like to know how to connect all this to my amplifier in the best way?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.7

    Hi!
Too bad, the link to the amp is dead... so it's hard to know what kind of wiring and outputs it has...
If you find something to show the beast...

So, on the site, the amp is described as having 4 channels but the photos do not show the complete back panel... if you have it at home, could you take a photo or describe the exact connectors? I’ve searched other sites but I can’t get any specifics...
Based on the link you provided, I have the impression that there are only 2 channels?

No, it's definitely a 4-channel one, it's true that the image doesn't match the amplifier. Go to http://www.oxygenaudio.fr/UI/Templates/General/FileDownload.aspx?Article=8 and check the connections; it's the same as the F150 and F250.
    Thanks for your help!

    Okay okay ...
You have 4 channels, one left and right (stereo) front and one left and right rear (so be careful, these are speaker channels and not frequency separation options, you will understand at the end of the post). Apparently, you can also wire front and rear as left and right and thus increase your power, but you need 4-ohm speakers, and that’s perfect because that’s what you have. According to the speaker manual, there is a filter provided that allows you to send a stereo signal from your amp and separate the frequencies according to the capabilities of the speakers, the highs for the tweeters, etc. So, with your equipment setup, your subwoofer cannot be connected in addition to the 3 channels. You could try swapping it with the woofer (which is 200mm, so bass, while your sub is a 300mm (12 inches) so very low bass), but nothing says the filter works correctly...
You would have needed the 5500 amp model which offers separate speaker outputs for sub, woofer, midrange, and tweeter; or you buy another filter that does this separation into 4 real channels...
Don’t hesitate if there is any confusion in the explanations...

Thank you. I'm going to show you how I connected all of this. Go to http://ptidavid10.skyrock.com/photo.html?id_article=2352486729&rev=1! My 3-way system receives 100 watts RMS on each side, right? And my subwoofer receives 200 watts RMS? I find that my 3-way system works very well; it's just that my subwoofer, for me, doesn't produce enough bass. I have a friend who has the same setup but with a different amplifier, and it works really well. His amplifier is also 2000 watts... What kind of filter would you suggest I buy? I don't understand.

      Thank you.

Uh, I was a bit "tired" last night, I gave you the power of the speakers (200W at 4 ohms for the 3-way and 150W at 4 ohms for the sub)
in the T100 manual I read:
    1x200W at 4Ω, 2x100W at 2Ω and 2x60W at 4Ω

all your speakers are 4 ohms and you connected the 3-way in stereo so you have 60W per side, indeed your sub can receive 200W (mono at 4 ohms) if the volume is cranked up (rare, right?) so for an additional 50W that is rarely reached I don't think there will be any problems... but I would like an expert opinion if someone reads this...

and to filter the sub you can buy a small passive electronic filter (so no power supply) similar to your 3-way...

My amplifier is an F100 (4 channels) and not a T100 (2 channels). Can you draw me a diagram to show the different connections (4x100W, 4x60W, 2x200)? So I'm probably going to buy a filter for my sub because I don't want to buy a new amplifier...
      Thank you

    Your connection options are:

    1x200W at 4Ω
    2x100W at 2Ω
    2x60W at 4Ω

If we follow the diagram you made,
    - your subwoofer, which is at 4 ohms, is connected in mono, matching the possibility 1x200W at 4 ohms (bridge), so the amplifier can deliver up to 200W RMS.
    - if you had a 3-way system at 2 ohms, with the same diagram you made, it would correspond to the possibility 2x100W at 2 ohms (stereo). The amplifier could provide you with 100W RMS on each side,
    - but you have a 3-way system at 4 ohms, so the connection you made corresponds to the possibility 2x60W at 4 ohms, and the amplifier gives you 60W RMS on each side...

The little diagram you made contains all the wiring possibilities...

Can I connect Skytec 300W speakers to an Ariston AX-910 amplifier?

    Thank you.

Well done for the connection. According to the manual, your 3-way speakers give a total of 200W RMS (I don't know if we can say it comes to 100 watts RMS on each side), and your subwoofer is 150W RMS... What I was saying is that your 3-way speakers have no problem, but unless it has a filter (which I haven't seen in the manuals), the sub receives the entire signal (from very low to high in mono) even though it can only reproduce the very low frequencies physically... This means it's being affected by other frequencies that it shouldn't be producing; in short, it can be more efficient if you filter the signal and only give it the very low frequencies...

How can I filter the sub? Otherwise, is it safe to connect my sub like this? Because the amp sends 200 Watts RMS while it only supports 150 Watts?
      Thank you.
