Hello everyone,
I received an email about cocoland that was blocking me on MSN. Unfortunately, I signed up. Since then, my contacts on MSN no longer recognize me. I appear under the name cocoland. I'm furious. It's a hassle.
I looked on the cocoland page but found nothing to unsubscribe. Could you please help me? Thank you.

--check your programs to see if this site cocoland has been installed and if so, remove it. (control panel / add remove programs); in the future, avoid this kind of site that claims to tell you who is blocking you on msn, they are just scam sites that later send you a ton of ads, spywares, and other crap, not to mention that you risk having your messaging hacked in the future.
born, die and be reborn endlessly!! such is the law..

I made the same mistake as you, but I don’t have a cocoland nickname on my MSN; however, I still changed my password and my security question.
To the one who calls us clueless, it means you must have made a mistake too and you don’t dare to admit it. Not everyone is tech-savvy, and this site is for those who, like me, make mistakes.
As they say, to err is human, and only machines don’t make mistakes, so unless you’re a robot, I think you make mistakes too.
To a good listener, hello clueless one.

In fact, I think I haven't been hacked either
But as soon as I log in with my mobile phone, my username appears with cocoland.
and I don't know how to get rid of it!!
I'm so frustrated
and indeed, when I log in with my phone, my contacts see me connecting as "cocoland"
If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful.

You have to be foolish to give your username and password to an unknown site!
What's Google for? To check the legitimacy of a site! You bunch of idiots!

Hi,
I almost got caught, luckily you created this topic here!
If you have unwanted software, one option is to press: Ctrl Alt Delete to see the list of programs that are running. If there’s one that looks like cocoland, you should close it.
Then you should go to the control panel to uninstall the program. If you can’t do it that way, let me know.

Hello everyone,
I am a computer scientist and would like to clarify a few points:
- A computer scientist does not think like an average person (not necessarily better but differently), which explains the harshness of some colleagues. It remains unnecessary to insult a guy who asks a question, even if it seems stupid; it appears that the person who posted it wants to be less so, so it's better to help...
- There are no stupid people, just poorly informed individuals and many idiots who spread nonsense on forums.
- One should not believe the silly chain messages that circulate on the internet. Little Noélie, Amélie has been dead for a long time, and if you are looking to find out who is blocking you on MSN, you are trying to undermine another user's information confidentiality. It's not surprising that a site takes advantage of this to harm your privacy...
For the record, your MSN account information is stored on the hotmail, live, or Microsoft site, it's up to you to choose, not on cocochose. If you are a victim of this issue, the good practice is what was mentioned above: go to the site https://account.live.com/ and change your secret question and then your password. In this order, it seems more prudent because if you change the password and cocoland tries to reconnect, it could use the secret question to reset it. So 1: secret question, 2: password.
For a valid password mix:
- Uppercase
- Lowercase
- Numbers
- Special characters (* ! : / ;) depending on permissions
Minimum of 6 characters, 8 recommended, 14 magnificent! MSN will already tell you if it is good upon creation even if it's a minimal check.
Do not use easily found data: name, surname, brand, street, city, date of birth, etc.
If your password only makes sense to you, that's great, especially if it does not appear in a dictionary.
Avoid "god"... too classic.
Then I can only recommend downloading Ad-Aware (www.lavasoft.fr/Ad-Aware) free and effective, and then Spybot (https://www.safer-networking.org/download/ also free.
Take the latest version and update it.
Make sure you have up-to-date antivirus software (AVG 8.5 free is free) avoid Avast which is a sieve (I'm speaking from experience) and Securitoo.
Always keep at least the Windows firewall enabled.
Always have the latest security updates for Windows and third-party software (Firefox, Thunderbird, Java, Flashplayer, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Finally, the most logical thing would be to disable system restore and then restart in safe mode without network support (F8 during startup after the BIOS display on a black background) and proceed with a thorough scan with all these tools and restart your computer.
Run a defragmentation and remember to reactivate system restore...
Everything should work.
If you have Orange, know that the tools supplied by Orange only serve to mess up your PC and are useless for making your Dongle or Wi-Fi sensor and your Livebox work...
Otherwise, feel free to switch to Linux ;).
I hope to have helped some, @+

well it's funny because I signed up on this chat site of my own accord without anyone suggesting it to me.
I was NEVER asked for my email address or my password.
the scam must come from the email, not from the site
but that's an opinion, not information...

Good evening!
I have the same issue, but I haven't registered on this site, I haven't even received an invitation from cocoland to watch anything! It connects under my name up to 5 times a day and leaves links for my contacts.
It's not installed in my programs.
How can I get rid of it??? I saw that I should try changing the password but I don't really want to (unless I'm really forced to!) especially since it hasn't been effective for everyone... Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone, I would like to know some information about the site COCOLAND
After receiving this message supposedly from a friend, I opened it and signed up with my email address
For a week, I was able to go on my MSN without any problems
At one point, a friend saw on his MSN that I had been on Cocoland, so he told me to change my MSN password
So I did, and it works normally
So I would like to know if there has been hacking or not
Thank you in advance

Cocoland is a big scam and this site allows them to enter your MSN address or addresses and take your contacts, blocking you whenever they wish.
Moreover, they can access your computer, which is serious.
The solution is to open MSN and go to your inbox, then go to my account, change your password and your secret question.
For your emails, it's simple: open your email box and do the following.
File, identity, manage identities, properties, change your password.
Do it quickly and avoid accepting this kind of site.

I just advise you to change your MSN password, go to https://login.live.com/login.srf?lc=1033, this is the page where the "Msn" site stores your emails, your profile, your username, your address book... you enter your MSN email address (123@hotmail.com for example) and your password below. Then, you click on "password" and then on modify, you enter your old password and then your new one twice to confirm it. Then you validate by retyping the requested characters.
I want to confirm that the Cocoland site is a malicious site, many people have been fooled. The site has retrieved your MSN username and password, with these, anyone can access your account and send emails from it (no need to have the msn software!!! which is only for chatting).
To convince you, exit msn (so it no longer appears in the taskbar) and go to https://login.live.com/login.srf?lc=1033, enter your msn username and password, and click on email and here you are in your MSN inbox!!!
So, no malicious software is installed on your computer... normal, since no software is downloaded from the cocoland site!
bye!

I'm sorry to tell you this, but to fall into such a low trap, you have to be slightly simple. Cocoland is a chat site like any other, except that it has a lure for the clueless who follow like sheep. So there's no solution, just open another MSN account, and honestly, people, you're not very bright.
There is only one way.. change your password on MSN and log out, then restart your MSN.. I tested it, no problems.. I recommend running an antivirus and anti-spyware test on your PC afterwards..
be careful, they use your password and read your incoming emails.. if you have important emails like bank registrations, etc.. take action quickly to change your passwords on those accounts as well!!!
I hope not too many of you have replied to this site.. otherwise, it’s not just a crisis.. it will be a crisis!!!!
I reported the site on gouv.fr, do the same!! It’s important to file a complaint in case of problems.

I, too, fell for Cocoland, I managed to unsubscribe and get back to "MSN". Go to your control panel, in your calendar, go back to the date before your Cocoland registration, and all your data will be updated. And you will be at peace. I did it, and now I am at peace, I recovered my old "MSN", all my contacts, I didn't lose anything. I hope it works for you too.
It's too much, if your Cocoland is the contact, we can tell him that his site is illegal because it doesn't ask for the user's consent! We tell him that we will file a complaint if he doesn't stop his nonsense.
First of all, thank you all for your explanations.
Next, I myself got hacked by cocoland and as a result my contacts are telling me they're receiving links to pornographic sites or VIRUSES!
I would like to ask you how I can stop this and I inform you in advance that I just changed my password.
If someone could help me that would be nice ^^
See you soon

Hey, I went to Cocoland and I didn't have any problems and I got the list of people who blocked me, there you go... good luck to everyone...
Hello,
I'm very glad not to be the only one who has NO problem with CocoLand. In fact, I don’t understand at all the issues that all these internet users are having.
I must say that I have an antivirus on M.S.N.
P.S. The only thing that surprises me is that we cannot uninstall it!
And that there is no microphone.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Dad.

Hello everyone
Just a little info, you may not have direct problems, but all your contacts may be receiving a message from you almost constantly telling them to go to the site
Then you have the lag problems. Basically, the little one who connects whenever he wants to your computer and runs tasks in the background
After all, it's not specifically hacking either, because hacking takes on a different meaning, which is to say that we assume we know nothing or very little about the IP address (for example) of the person we want to connect to
In this case, you are providing all the data they need to the server to come and play around with your MSN account
Indeed, not everyone realizes that the links are dodgy one time out of two, and I'm being nice
Then low-level formatting or XP will do nothing because your computer doesn't have anything, maybe two or three temporary files with access codes and messages to send to your friends on your list
Furthermore, changing passwords will not change anything because if the guy who built this site thought a little to mess with the people, he could very well integrate a keylogger into the temporary files, which could send everything you type on your keyboard (the passwords, the Word document, your account numbers,...)
So the best thing to do before doing anything and everything, my advice is to start by banning the site on your routers, box, and to carefully check the open ports
Block those that shouldn't be open, and then use software like Malwarebytes or Spybot (free) which will be much more effective for cleaning up your temporary files
Also remember to clear your browser cache and cookies
And once you've done all that, change your passwords and security questions for MSN and anything else you might have used in the meantime (bank account, eBay,...)
Finally, that's in the extreme case, I would say, MSN should suffice for most cases
Here’s basically the process I would follow in your situation

I also got caught but I don't think completely
when I gave my password and username I was logged into MSN and of course I logged out, so I immediately logged back in and there was an error message from them saying either bad password or bad login
Did they still manage to hack me???
In any case, thanks to your discussion I immediately went to change my password
I hope it's okay
But really, I didn't think
Thanks
so I changed my password too
but I have Windows Live Messenger on my phone
and every time I log in, the username cocoland appears!
I wanted to change it but nothing works
so if anyone has a solution to suggest to me
Thanks in advance!
while changing the passwords or even just creating a new account?
