Hello,
I saw on a site that you can download files using the software jDownloader. But there is a small problem. I downloaded JDownloader, I click on the file I want to download on the site and then a second window appears telling me "open with...............", and I choose to open it with JDownloader, but instead of the file opening with JDownloader to allow the software to download it directly, Mozilla Firefox downloads it itself and the file remains saved in the downloads folder of Mozilla. I think this is due to the fact that JDownloader is not installed on my hard drive. It is portable whereas it normally shouldn't be. Please help me if you can. Of course, it's a given. Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.7

Hello. To do this, you simply need to change the language used by JDownloader. Let me explain: you need to go to the SETTINGS tab on the right. In the left part of the software that represents the category section, look for USER INTERFACE, click on it and to the right, it should say - normally - Language: Englishe, click on Englishe and choose France; French language. Then return to the Download tab, and normally the software will ask you to restart, click yes, or ok. Once this is done, you have JDownloader in French.
And to save this is also simple: Now that you have JDownloader in French, Settings is replaced by Préférence. Go to it. Still in the left part, look for Général, which is normally found under Basique at the top. Look to the right and find Click'n'Load; on the right is a Installer button, click on it. And say yes. Accept everything Windows asks you. Then once that is done, there is a second Installer at the bottom, click on it. But this only works if you have the famous Mozilla Firefox browser. And follow the instructions that follow. It's simple, you'll see.
And for the download destination folder, it's just as simple. Go back to the Préférence tab, Téléchargement & Connexion, and look to the right; there is a small icon representing an orange box. On the right, it says Répertoire de Téléchargement, and just below this is the internal address where the files you download from the internet will be stored. If you want to modify this address, it's nothing more than simple: click on Sélectionner, which is the equivalent of Browse just to the right, if you look closely. A small window should open, and at the top of this window is the destination folder which is normally Download, the equivalent of Téléchargement in French. Click on the small arrow pointing down, and you just need to choose the folder you want to use. Then click OK.
If you want more information, such as how to download with Mozilla using JDownloader, leave a message.
I hope I have shed some light on the subject for you. An humble internet user.

Hello,
I have a big problem! I can't download with JDownloader. I installed it a little while ago, but I can't download any movies. The links appear, but no files are being downloaded. Can you please help me?

It seems to me that this is the best of all those I've tried. Plus it's very simple.
-1. First, after installation you need to click on the globe to make the update (if it hasn't automatically updated during the installation of the program).
Java needs to be updated.
- 2. Then go to Preferences _ Hosts & Premiums _ check the boxes of the sites that interest you and on which you think you might download (check Premium - accepted_ use)
-3. Let's say you turn on your computer, go online, and you have a link that interests you, before selecting it, you "turn on" JDownloader first, and then you can go to the link with your cursor and highlight it as if to "copy" or "paste," at that moment you right-click the highlighted address and a window opens, offering actions; we choose "copy."
If JDownloader is updated and "open," it will automatically integrate the address and check if the link is available.
Otherwise, add it by pressing the green arrow of JDownloader ("copy the address").
-4. Now even though we have the address of the thing that interests us, JDownloader doesn't start by itself.
You need to click on the arrow under the word "File."
Normally it should start.
- If in the meantime another link interests us, we can select it with the mouse to make it "blue," right-click, "copy," or click on the green arrow of JDownloader, JD will add it to the list and check it.
For everything else to happen automatically, you need to click "Add all packages," the links will be integrated into a list in the "downloads" column, and you can leave; it will happen on its own.
- If we want to keep the list but need to stop everything because we have to leave, we click on File _ Save link list, and as soon as we restart the computer and JD, it will continue where it left off.
- Other settings are possible, you need to look in Preferences, for example, check if the "Anticaptcha" box is unchecked, as that would mean it's disabled.
But normally it's already configured for captchas to be decrypted automatically, so it's better not to touch anything on that side.
- You can also set JD to open zipped files (Preferences _ then Unrar at the bottom), you can also adjust the interface (according to your tastes).
- You must never forget that as soon as you modify something in JD, you need to restart it (JD - not the computer), for it to be taken into account (e.g., if you want to download 3 links at once), you change the numbers, but then you need to restart it for it to work.
Furthermore, the speed will be divided by the number of downloads; it won't go faster.
Finally, the captcha doesn't work on hotfile in my experience - it's useless to mess everything up to see, it doesn't work, at least for now.
I think it's a great software and easy to handle compared to others, but that's for everyone to judge according to their tastes.
