Hello, first of all thank you to Kikou for your response, but I checked the internet security configuration, it is set to "medium" as you told me, but I still can't download. What could be the problem!!!!!!

in tools/options/security/customize, check in the window on the download line that the "enable" box is checked.
If not, you might have a pop-up blocker enabled, like the Google toolbar, in which case, hold down the ctrl key before starting the download.

Hi, I'm answering even if I'm not the person concerned.
Windows needs a reserved disk space (a .sys file, I believe) which serves as a storage area to free up RAM: that's the virtual memory.
When there's a shortage, you need to increase its size.
For that, under XP:
- right-click on My Computer
- click on Properties
- Advanced tab
- in Performance, click Settings
- Advanced tab
- in Virtual Memory, click Change
- change the number indicating the maximum (add 100 MB to start) and close
perhaps a restart will be necessary, in that case, you have to do it

I've had a downloading issue for a few days... I can't download anything at all.
For example, I wanted to update my GPS through a website that offered to download the update, and a window opens; I click on save and in one second it's done! I open it and of course there's nothing...
I've tried downloading other things and the same thing happens...
What should I do?
I've already gone into tools, Internet options, and checked if the downloading section was enabled...
I'm on Vista and browsing with IE.
I also tried with Firefox and Opera, but the same result!!!

Salut, le problème de sécurité, c'est un problème de pare-feu. Il faut que tu autorises tel logiciel à pouvoir être utilisé. Utilise uTorrent car les autres ne sont pas bien. Emule, c'est pas bien, il y a que des virus et tu pourrais te faire griller par le HDP.
