Bonjour voial je suis debutant
et je viens d'installer licq
j'ai donc fait ./configure
make
puis make install
et ca me dis ca!

Je ne connais pas licq mais je crois c'est assez simple. Tu as reussi de le compiler et (probablement) aussi de l'installer mais ce n'est pas encore fini. Tu as compile le programe principale mais il faut aussi ajouter
une interface graphique, le machin "plugin-gui". Il y a le choix entre plusieurs plugins. Le default c'est le plugin avec qt. Pour l'avoir tu vas
dans le sous-repertoire plugins/qt-gui (du repertoire principale des sources) et tu fais aussi une compilation (peut-etre avec configure etc.). Cherche le fichier doc/README (voir plus bas) pour les instructions.
Si par hasard le plugin qt ne te plait pas tu peux aussi chercher un autre avec l'autre toolkit gtk au site web de licq. Bien-sur aussi a compiler si tu prends les sources. Ca va remplir les memes fonctionnalites mais avec un autre "look".
Ce genre de choses est normalement bien explique dans les fichiers README etc. Il faut les soigneusement lire pour les instructions d'installation et aussi de l'utilisation. Souvent il y a plusieures trucs a compiler/installer dans le bon ordre. Je viens de regarder le README de licq accessible sur leur page web. Les explications sont tres claires et directes:
INSTALLATION:
(If you have a binary distribution then see the FAQ for how to
do a manual install. Don't worry it's very easy, any monkey
could do it.)
As root:
1. Type './configure' and it will determine all the right settings and
directories for your system.
2. Type 'make' and in theory it will build. If you are using a non-GNU system,
such as FreeBSD or Solaris, you will need the GNU version of make, often
installed as `gmake'. If you get errors about "void *" see the FAQ.
3. Type 'make install' and licq will be installed (defaults to
/usr/local).
4. Go to plugins/qt-gui and follow the directions there (doc/README) to install
the Qt interface plugin (necessary).
As each user:
5. When you run licq for the first time it will install all the necessary
files in ~/.licq.
6. You can import users from a number of other clients into Licq using
one of the conversion scripts found on the download section of the web
page or in the licq-data package.
