Hello,
Do you want to talk about that famous poster http://www.luke.blogit.fr/page_12.html#a181972 but in black and white? If so, it's very easy with a simple and free little software (about 20 minutes) and I can tell you, if it's another one, we need to see which one because there have been many of these posters made...

Hello,
… with Gimp (for example):
• Colors>Threshold… (this reduces the image to two colors using a threshold).
or • Image>Mode>Grayscale then Colors>Posterize… : levels of posterization: 2.
or • Image>Mode>Indexed colors: use the black and white palette (1-bit).
…you can also "vectorize" your image and simplify it like Jim Fitzpatrick
[EDIT]: good evening Luke1, I didn't see it on your site… Cool.-
Another super simple solution with PhotoFiltre (both versions, including the free one): quick background cut with the polygon tool (almost as precise as the pen) --> Settings tab --> Bichromy. That's it, but it's not vectorized. Maybe Inkscape could do it...? ;-)
Thanks Vankop, but it's just to show (at my level only) that we can already do some pretty cool little things with the free version of PhotoFiltre, and it's very useful for giving examples or asking if this or that is what it's about, like today...

So you see poorly... :-))
There are three, that's a fact, and even four with an animated GIF; there are also political figures, unknowns, etc., and there's also this http://www.luke.blogit.fr/page_13.html#a188384 ...
And I told you "I really like Star Wars," but Luke's nickname is much older, much older. Why not Anakin or Yoda too? Well, simply because I'm no longer young enough for either of those, although Yoda........... :D :D-
I saw that you were having a lot of fun with fractals, so I'm going to take the time to read your blog a bit... I had already played a little with Apophysis, but I'm a bit disappointed with the gradient effects that come out as small, pixelated dots... but well, I haven't taken the time to look into the software in depth...
