Well, yes, it's obvious that if you haven't done anything, it'll just happen again.

I just wanted to see if it was a hardware issue, like a faulty memory stick.

Well, apparently it's your Windows that's messed up, or rather infected.

So, flashing your BIOS won't change anything.
