USB Extension for Webcam Solved

Question

Hello! =)

I would like to buy a USB extension for my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam installed on the PC.
The extension should be about 5 meters long so that I can place it at the other end of the room.

My questions are as follows:
Do I need to add a repeater? Will there be a loss of quality in the video compared to the default cable? Will the system be reliable and easy to install?

Hello, logically the extension does not require installation.
As for video quality, I don't think you will experience any loss =)
However, the bad news is that a 5-meter USB extension is difficult to find, even impossible (I've never seen one myself)

I found an active 5-meter extension cable with a USB 2.0 amplifier (repeater).  It's better for a webcam, so I don't lose video quality! ;)   Thanks again to both of you, see you soon! =)
