Hello,
P2P is short for Peer-to-Peer.
It is the act of exchanging data directly between two computers, without going through an FTP server or anything else.
For example, Emule is a P2P software because when you download a file, you are actually downloading pieces of that file directly from random PCs, which then reassemble the file.
That's why you see vertical lines forming all over the download bar; it's because you're taking pieces from all over the place.
So, P2P is essentially peer-to-peer downloading. -

You can't steal a connection because your ADSL or other connection comes through a cable (telephone, fiber optic) into your house, so to steal your connection I would need to be under your modem (Livebox, Freebox...) and unplug the cable.
After that, it could be used to retrieve your IP address, and with that, you can hack and other things, but it's not within everyone's reach; you need to have good knowledge.
No need to panic, it's rare for someone to want to attack an individual, or else they are foolish :D it serves no purpose other than to annoy people, and generally, this kind of person is not very liked by the “white hat” hacking community, the good guys, you know :p -
peer to peer. It's software that allows the sharing of music, movies, games ... with other users who use the same software. The principle is to share and download data (music ...) that a user has.

I read in a thread that it's software that allows you to boost the connection!! Isn't that illegal or hacking???
-
Just that’s what I thought, but apparently there were people trying to steal the connection!!!

It's true what you said Alucard, you have to be professional!! To do this! Thanks to everyone for these valuable pieces of information, and I was wondering how you knew all of this????
Thanks in advance to those who have and will respond to me! -
Exactly, it's about being interested, but I'm a computer science student so it helps to learn :D
