Open a "part" file

Hello,
I wanted to know how I can open a ".part" file. I downloaded music in this format and I can't open it =/ I tried to open it with VLC media player but it doesn't work.

Thank you for your attention and I hope you can help me
(sorry if I posted in a forum that doesn't correspond to my message)

    Hello!

    .part files are just "parts" of a larger file being downloaded.
    As long as the file is not complete, it will remain .part
