How to solve pb03 on sagem DTR6400T/6700

Hello,
the Sagem decoder with hard drive that I bought a month ago displays pb03 and no longer works. Is there a solution? Should I return it? I don't need a constantly faulty product. Thank you.

    The message "pb 03" on Sagem hard disk decoders, according to Orange, means: unsuitable power supply unit. This decoder requires a power supply delivering 3.5 amps; see the label on each electrical socket.
    This has resolved the reported issue for me.

      The hard disk being dead, I just replaced it with a Maxtor 80GB IDE formatted in FAT32, but the consumption is nearly double! : SAGEM 40GB WD 5V -> 0.35 A and 12V -> 0.5 A replaced by the MAXTOR but 5V -> 0.67 A 12V -> 0.97 A at startup the SAGEM displays PB 03 ..
