Bonjour,
je cherche une piste a mon problème !
mon ordi se met a ralentir enormement et brutalement que ce soit a regarder des videos sur intenet, ouvrir un programme quelquoncque !
je finis par l'eteindre ! ça repars sans problème ou au bout de quelques minutes le problème recommence !
peut etre un souci materiel mais je ne sais pas quoi !

Pour véirifer sous Linux, il faut ouvrir une console/terminal et lancer le programme top.
Cela permet de vérifier si un process n'utilise pas le processeur à 100% ou presque. Si c'est le cas il faut trouver quel programme est incriminé.
Il peut aussi y avoir un trojan. A vérifier si cela le fait uniquemement avec une connexion au réseau.
Pour éliminer les rootkit il faut installer le paquet chkrootkit et lancer cette commande en etant root ou avec sudo (c'est selon la distri).
Il peut aussi y avoir un blocage quand la partition /var ou /tmp est pleine.
Vérifier l'occupation des disques avec "df -h"
Vérifier les process de l'utilisateur : "ps aux". En 3e et 4e colonne vous avez le taux d'occupation CPU et RAM.

au debut j'avais pas de problème !
puis une fois ou deux !
et puis maintenant tres frequement !
je suis sur ubuntu 8.04 hardy haeron
le bureau 3d est desactivé comme tous les effets graphiques !

et top qui n'arrete pas de changer et j'ai une ligne que je n'avais jamais vu ( celle avec haldaemo en user ! ) je ne sais pas ce que c'est ! j'ai reussi a lancer la commande pour verifier les trojan mais rien n'est infecté !

dans ce cas fais ce que dubcek préconise, càd :
pour résumer, laisser tourner top et quand la machine ralenti observer si une tâche consomme tout le cpu (colonne %CPU) et occupe de plus en plus de mémoire (colonne %MEM)
... puis dis-nous ce qu'il en ait ...

alors j'ai fais ce que vous m'avez conseillé ! j'ai observé que firefox pouvait tourner entre 100 et 150 % cpu et la memoire allait jusqu'a 10 %
y'a xorg (je ne sais pas ce que c'est ) qui monte a 30% cpu et 5% mem !
sinon je n'ai rien vu de special dans top !
peut etre que ça vous donne une piste parce que ça devient vraiment galere !

Xorg c'est le serveur X
la tâche qui consomme du cpu n'est pas forcémment celle qui consomme de la mémoire, il faudrait voir toutes les tâches au moment du problème.
il faudrait aussi voir les lignes Mem et Swap
