When I shut down my PC, it restarts. Solved

Question

Hello,

Everything is in the title.
When clicking on "stop", my PC restarts.
I have to turn it off by cutting the power!
Those who have experienced this issue or those who know please respond.

Good evening,  Right-click on Computer, select Properties, click on the Advanced tab. Then go to Settings in the Startup and Recovery section. Under System failure, uncheck Automatically restart.

Thank you for your fullscreen response, but I have already checked "Automatically restart," the box is unchecked.  The problem lies elsewhere.

Fullscreen, thanks to you, I was able to solve my problem and I thank you very warmly!

You took a thorn out of my side!

The solution was on the page you pointed me to.

Here’s what I applied to the letter:

Checking and/or intervention in the Registry

* By Start/Run... (or Windows+r), type regedit

*Locate the key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and back it up.

*Double-click on the PowerDownAfterShutdown string value (create it if it doesn't exist) and enter the number 1 in the Value data field.

In the PowerDownAfterShutdown string, I found the value 0 which I replaced with 1.
The PC now shuts down normally!
