Canon MP360 printer error message

Hello,
I have a problem with my printer since this morning: an error message appears without turning on the printer, activating the power strip makes it start immediately: DATA ERROR PRESS SET KEY.
After looking around, I couldn't find any solutions, it even does strange things, the scan button leads to a fax function even though this model doesn't have a port to connect a phone line (???), the button to make a color copy leads to a photo print function that I have never seen either (there is a photocopy or print via computer function, and a scan function).
I tried printing a random page and anyway the computer says that the printer is offline.
I think it's some kind of bug or blockage, but it's impossible to reset or do something like that...
Note that everything is displayed in English even though I had selected French.

Solution 1: I had the same Problem and Solved in in this Way:
- first replace the Cmos Battery
- It's on the Left Side of the Printer.
- Or you let the Printer always pluged in to the wall socket.
- plug in the power Cable while Pressing the Copy Button
- The Display Shows as usual, but the PC doesn't recognise the Printer.
- Now you have to go to Service Mode.
Press the following Buttons in this sequence:
"Settings - Scan - Copy - Scan"
- Now Display Shows #1 SSSW
- Press Menu till Display Shows #5 TYPE
- Press o.k.
- Select Machine Type FW1 (FW2=MP370)
- Select Language German
- Leave the Service menu pressing the reset Button.
Now Your Printer should work properly like before.
If you have replaced the Cmos Battery, you can unplug the Power Cable without leaving your correct Settings.
Otherwise you have to do the Steps above again when unplugging or power grid Fails.
I hope I helped someone else with this description.
