Explanation on the use of CAM modules

Hello,
I have a Kaon 570 and I would like to have some explanations about the CAM modules that can be used with it. What exactly are they for? Can we receive additional channels, and if so, which module should I buy, how to program them, etc.
Thank you very much, I have some knowledge but I'm not a professional.
