I read all the messages regarding donations of cars without licenses as well as sales of low-priced cars. I am sorry for those who have been scammed and I advise caution to others, as I too was recently in email discussions with these scammers. However, I became wary when they asked me to pay in advance by postal money order. Be aware that they are still active either in France, Africa, or Belgium, and their names change every time. Sometimes they are donors, other times they present themselves as transporters: Jean-Pierre Lagrost, Carasco Bernard, Bertrand Cordis, and finally Mr. and Mrs. Lacarièrre. They are all Africans who adopt French names to deceive people more easily. Often they use the names of individuals they have scammed or attempted to defraud in the past. Just this morning, I received a call from Jean-Pierre Lagrost, the transporter, who is demanding 380 euros for the delivery of a car without a license that was originally supposed to be delivered to me for free. The problem is that on the so-called ID he sent me the day before to build my trust, there is indeed a photo of a white man, while on the phone with me this morning, I had the certainty that I was speaking with a pure African. Since I don't mince my words, I outright told him that he was a Black African and that he must have sent me the wrong ID with the photo of a white man. He swore he was white and immediately hung up. Since then, the emails have stopped. So please be careful and stop sending money to people you do not know via Western Union or Money Order. For those who still have questions about these ads, I hope they find their answers.

Here are two new email addresses of potential scammers. They do not want to show the car and offer to deliver it for a fee, which I believe is a sign of a scam! People will tell you they have to leave abroad for studies or work and that they offer to deliver the car.
There is an advertiser on Vivastreet named Lebel, and here are two scammer email addresses.

I saw an ad for a Wii on Le Bon Coin. The people left for Benin due to a transfer, and a transporter was supposed to bring it to my home in exchange for a Western Union check. Up to that point, I thought it could be possible, as long as I kept the check in my hands until the exchange of the console! The only problem is that this famous Western Union check is like a bank transfer, which means that once it's done, you don't see the transporter, so you get scammed. The guy presented himself as Mr. Caraco Bernard, so I'm letting it go and I’m going to report this ad!

This seller is supposedly named Mr. Harry Jean Roger, but I did not receive an identity card.
I asked him to give me the address of his delivery person, which he did: livreur.domicile@gmail.com NUMBER: 0659678298 / 0022993500965.
I did not call him, but the number 0022... seemed suspicious to me, so I did some research and came across your testimonials, for which I thank you, as this delivery person asked me to send 800 euros in cash advance for the delivery. I replied that there would be no payment of any kind without trying the vehicle first, and since then, I've heard no more from this delivery person or this seller. If there is a way to block this type of scam and this message can help do that, then that's great. -

I also received this type of message twice. I am registered on a website where I am looking for a small car, if possible for someone to give me one because I cannot afford to buy it. I am disabled and part of an association that provided me with legal advice to know if what was being offered to me was a scam or not. Both times it turned out to be scams because they asked me for money to bring the car. The first time it was 600 euros to pay the transporter, the second time 200 euros to handle the paperwork for the small car. Each time they told me they were going to move to Belgium or were living in Belgium now, due to their partner's job transfer. The association has taken the necessary steps to file a complaint for me, but I don’t know if they will find the culprits because I haven’t heard back from those people.

Here is a new scam email that I received tonight following an ad I responded to in the afternoon on Adoos for a permit-free car. Keep your eyes wide open, do not give your details, and never send money because you need to see the car first and near your home, not abroad, as they are scammers.
Fortunately, I knew there was a scam with "we had the technical inspection redone" lol, there is no technical inspection on a permit-free car with 4 seats. You need to have your code and maintain it, since I've had one for 7 years and bought it new from a dealer in Bouches du Rhône. It's a woman who writes to me, the email is signed Mr. Jean.
So it won't be tomorrow that they'll hear from me, not until pigs fly to be polite.

I would like to revisit this topic because I'm currently experiencing a similar situation. I posted an ad saying "looking for a cheap scooter or motorcycle," and then a man named Christian LEBRUN replied to me, stating he wanted to donate his motorcycle. Up until now, there has been no problem, but the issue arises next because the motorcycle is a 2007 KTM ADVENTURE 990!!!
He then tells me that he wants to give his motorcycle because he no longer uses it and brought it with him because he had to go to BENIN in Cotonou for work, and now he doesn't know where to keep it. He then says he would give me a donation deed at the court, and he would send me the motorcycle and the deed through a transport agency. I started to worry until I asked him for the complete contact details of the agency (he provided them), the transport cost (also given), and if there was a possibility to pay upon receipt (possible). Feeling confident but cautious, I asked him for a scan of his identity card, which he sent me, and everything matched perfectly (he claimed to be Belgian, true on the identification card, true name and first name...).
Then he tells me that besides the delivery, there was a customs fee of €153 that he would pay himself.
I am here to ask for your help on whether I can accept this donation (considering that the total delivery cost is payable upon receipt, that he will pay the customs fee himself, and that his identity card is real and corresponds perfectly). The only problem in my mind is that it's a model worth a lot and is recent.

Seriously though, at the time of the handover, there will be some trickery or even before that, he's trying to gain your trust and then he will probably ask you for a small amount (compared to the price of the bike) and if you pay, you're screwed. -

Honestly, weird for a car being sold in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), second point: "How much do you want to pay for the car?" It is advertised at a certain price, it's not a normal question for a seller!
Before consulting this site, I had requested a copy of the registration document, the sales power of attorney, and the identity card. I was more concerned about buying a stolen car... I'm waiting to see... In the meantime, I informed the webmaster of the site hosting the ad.

So be careful everyone, ads that are too good require thought.- A person who considers themselves too smart, from Benin, and also a doctor from Médecins Sans Frontières, is trying to scam me right now for a metallic red Peugeot 207. They have a problem because I am a foreigner, I am a student here, and I have seen such nonsense since I was not doing well... I am having fun with their efforts to get money I never sent... Hello everyone, I just fell victim to an attempted scam by Sofie Henry sofhenry@hotmail.fr who offered me a light vehicle. At first, I thought the ad was legitimate until the payment had to be made in Benin!! That's when I realized something was off and I could sense that this story stinks!!! So please be very careful, they are very clever and don't hesitate to use all means. In my case, the owner was selling her car due to disability and she was currently in England while the car was in Marseille, and as I mentioned earlier, the payment was to be made via Western Union to Mme Haylenbosch Marie, 32 rue du transporteur, Porto Nova, Benin. So it's a scam, don't let yourself be fooled by these well-crafted stories. That's all, goodbye!!!

I also got scammed and mostly tricked, supposedly because the vehicle belonged to his son who had just passed away, blah blah blah, and I was cheated out of nearly 300 euros, claiming it was for storage fees. I asked him for his address in France, and he gave me an address in Bordeaux. I went there to try to get my money back, but unfortunately, the address doesn't exist. I then went to the town hall and told them I was looking for this person, and they replied that he hadn't lived there for at least 10 years. So be careful, they are pitiful, so don't do them any favors.

Thank God I didn't fall for the scam; people like that disgust me, and to think that we are truly in need and that most of us really can't afford to get our licenses. -

Carasco Bernard is once again making headlines!!! He is offering a 206 with 40,000 kilometers on the odometer, which he is obviously giving away... There's a little story about his wife who had a child after 17 years of living together, and to thank God, he is giving away one of his 4 cars (just that!!!) Of course, there are some small expenses that the recipient has to cover. BEWARE OF THE SCAM!!!
