Bonjour,
Après pas mal de recherches sur Internet, je n'ai pas trouvé de réponses concernant exactement mon cas, j'ai donc préféré m'abstenir de tenter quoique ce soit, de peur de faire des bêtises :)
Je vous explique :
J'ai deux disques durs sur mon ordi, le premier contient uniquement Windows XP et sa partition de restauration, et le deuxième contient uniquement Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex, AMD 64). Jusque là, tout s'est déroulé correctement. Mais au redémarrage, GRUB se lance et ne me propose que de booter différentes versions d'Ubuntu. Or, je voudrais bien conserver Ubuntu tout en pouvant encore démarrer XP ! En tout cas, je sais que je n'ai pas fait de fausse manip car quand je débranche le disque contenant Ubuntu, Windows XP démarre normalement, sans passer par GRUB (qui se trouve donc bien sur le disque d'Ubuntu) et Ubuntu fonctionne très bien. Je voudrais donc pouvoir choisir au démarrage quel OS démarrer. J'ai lu qu'il faut sûrement modifier le fichier menu.lst de GRUB, mais que modifier exactement ?

Donc, je dois bien modifier /boot/grub/menu.lst mais comment savoir le nom correspondant au disque ? j'ai ouvert device.map, où il y a seulement indiqué "(hd0) /dev/sda"

hd2 sera le 3eme disque dur
hd0,0 sera la premiere partition du premier disque dur

c'est sda au lieu de hda

sdb sera le second disque dur

le plus sur est de demonter ton pc san demonter les DD (D disque D dur)
je supose que des dd sont en sata
donc regarde le modele du dd et regarde sur lequel port il est branché sata1 ou sata2 par exemple
sinon autre solution tu di que tu as windows sur un dd et linux sur l'autre
donc poste le fichier menu.lst sur ccm (il se trouve dans /boot/grub/menu.lst)
