Hyperlink (remove ctrl and restore..)

Good evening,
I am posting on this forum because I have an issue with hyperlinks in Word. I need to create links to another page in the document (for a table of contents). I can somewhat do this by going to Insert-->Bookmark then hyperlink etc. However, my issue may seem simple, let me explain: once the link is created I have to hold ctrl and click to be directed. I wanted to know how to make the link direct me to the requested page just by clicking on it (without ctrl). Additionally, I would also like to know how to change the color of the link so that it appears in black, the same color as the text and no longer in blue or purple.
Thank you in advance, best regards, have a good evening.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.5

Good evening,

To begin with, if it's a summary, you don't need to add hyperlinks since they are added by default on each title...

Next, to avoid having to press the Ctrl key, there's an option: Tools menu, Options, Editing => uncheck the option "Press CTRL and click to follow a hyperlink".

To change the color, just modify the "Hyperlink" and "Visited hyperlink" styles.

Hello m@rina,

A big thank you to all those who care about others by providing solutions!
It's been 2 days since the reformatted computer no longer gave me that option, and I was going in circles not knowing what question to ask when it was so simple! It's silly, but when you're used to working in such a way, it's hard to change...

And, in more recent versions, where "Tools" has disappeared, go to File/Options/Advanced Options. You can then uncheck, under the Editing options section, the "Press CTRL, then click to follow the hyperlink" option.

Hello,

It's a user-specific option.

Hello,

By stating that my Word is in English, I would like to know how to insert a hyperlink to another page of my text. I know I need to go to "insert hyperlink" and then "place in this document." After that, I try to click on "headings," but nothing happens. Can you help me?

Good evening m@rina, thank you very much for your answers regarding ctrl and color; you answered my question. However, when you tell me that I don't need hyperlinks for a table of contents, I don't understand. In fact, I created my table of contents like a regular page, so I don't have links associated with the titles. How should I create these links without hyperlinks when they are not created by default?
Thank you very much.

I don't understand... You mean you create your summary by hand????

A summary is normally created from existing titles... It's automatic and hyperlinks are automatically inserted into the summary.

Look here, I explain everything you need to know about tables of contents:

When sending a doc document with hyperlinks, even if we have disabled the CTRL key in tools/options under the editing tab, the person receiving the doc will have to do CTRL+click if the "remove CTRL..." action has not been performed on their version of Word. I know some who will search for an hour to find the CTRL key...
