Vertical pink line on the screen Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

Recently, a vertical pink line has appeared on my screen. I've run several scans with Spybot, Secuser, and Avast, but nothing has made it disappear. I've also tried a system restore, but to no avail.

I've read on other forums that the problem could be due to a failing screen or the graphics card.
What do you think? What is the cause of this incident?

So if we see in the screenshot the pink line, it probably means that the graphics card is failing, not the screen.

Ahhhhh, that's sneaky :D

Well, if nothing shows up during the screenshot, then yes, the issue seems to be with the screen ;)
Just make sure that the connection between the PC and the screen is good.

I have the same problem (except that for me, it's currently 15 lines: blue, pink, yellow, and purple). Likewise, they do not appear on the screenshots. So it's probably a screen problem. The lines appear slowly (the first one was yellow, then the others came at a rate of about one per month, depending on usage). Since my computer is no longer under warranty, a technician advised me to wait until I can't see anything anymore, then copy all the data to an external hard drive, and buy a new computer...
If anyone knows of another solution...
