Hello,
Same "insufficient memory" problem on Championship Manager 01/02.
Yet the game used to run on this same computer.
The suggested solutions regarding memory and DirectX don't work.
However, the computer has been completely cleaned, defragmented, and reset not long ago, and there's not much on it.
Does anyone have a suggestion please?

Hello everyone,
A year later, I am offering you a solution that has worked for me and others. I had already posted it a few years ago on a site that has since disappeared.
On Windows 7:
> Control Panel
> System
> Advanced system settings
> In the "Performance" subsection, click on Settings
> "Advanced" tab
> In the "Virtual Memory" section, click on Change
> Select "Custom size"
> Increase the values of "Initial size" and "Maximum size". For example, enter 512 and 1024, or 1024 and 2048
> Click on "Set"
I hope this helps you. Have a good evening everyone!

Hello,
I also tried modifying the virtual memory, but nothing worked.
I would like to reinstall Championship Manager 2001-2002 (the best of all in my opinion), an unconditional fan of the football management game saga! Nostalgic, you know! But surprise, during my installation (on Windows XP), an error occurred.
Here is the message that appeared:
"An error occurred while the computer was processing the moves: -106
Document: quick starts/frenchleague quick starts
File group: qs FRA
File: FRA.qst
Help me, I would like to relive the football past, and I don't know anything about computers, thank you.

hello
your problem is not the same
it's the quick start file for the French league that has an issue
so install it with your own settings and uncheck the French league in quick start
you won't be able to start a France championship match with quick start
but you can do it with long start.
otherwise, everything will stay the same
easy!
have fun
