Hello,
I recently purchased a D-jix m450 fm and after correctly installing the software (supposed to convert movies to .avi format!), I can't play the movies on the device (which then indicates, incorrect format!).
Thank you for your suggestions!
(PS: my PC has Windows Vista)

Hello everyone! So, as I've seen in this topic, many people are struggling with this little D-JIX M 450 FM player! I'll try to help you! I admit I had a really hard time being able to play videos imported from my PC to my player! I had tried almost everything with no results! The video was always supposedly in "unsupported format"! So here’s the solution! If you have the AVIConverter 2.1 software, get rid of it; it's a pretty useless version! So uninstall it completely and download the AVIConverter 5.0.1 version from this link (http://bbk.ru/files/AVIConverter_V5.1.0.zip). Then extract the folder on your computer wherever you want as long as you can find it later ^^! Then run it, of course ^^ once the software is installed, launch it. Once on the conversion page, choose the file or movie to convert, then choose the location to store the conversion; "ESPECIALLY" do not send the conversion of your file or movie directly to your D-JIX MP4 player, it won’t work and you will always get that lovely "unsupported format" message ^^! Choose the resolution format 160/128; that’s the one that matches the screen of the D-JIX M 450 FM MP4 player, I don’t know about other models. Send your conversion wherever you want, open a new folder if possible named "D-JIX completed conversions" or whatever name as long as it’s easy to find ^^! Then click on Convert Now ("it can take a while, be patient")! Anyway, once the movie is completely finalized, close AVIConverter 5.0.1, connect your D-JIX MP4 player via USB after turning it off first (I don’t know if it makes a big difference, but I did it this way and it works ^^)! Don’t panic if your D-JIX MP4 player turns on once plugged into your computer; that's normal lol! Then go to your converted movie folder, right-click, "copy," and then go to the "VIDEO" folder of your D-JIX MP4 player and paste your movie, this may take a few minutes. Then take the time to safely disconnect your D-JIX MP4 to avoid data loss. Go check in the "VIDEO" folder of your D-JIX MP4 player if the video is there! Logically it should be ^^! All that's left is to launch the video and enjoy a nice "mini cinema" session ^^! Hoping to have been able to help you ^^ Enjoy your movie everyone! ^^

Hello
I suggest Mediacoder (open-source software, meaning free and without spyware...)
Downloading Mediacoder (for an updated version: important)
2 links to install:

So yesterday, I right-clicked on a photo and then selected "open with: 'Microsoft Office Picture Manager'" and there I could choose to edit the image, then I selected resize and chose the format 640 x 480 and saved the photo in a folder. I repeated this for all the photos I selected; then I connected the D-jix and sent all the modified photos so they could be viewed. Because the problem isn't jpeg or jpg since they are pretty much identical apparently, according to the forums, but the issue comes from the image size.
In "Microsoft Office Picture Manager," you can directly choose: "file" then: "export" and there you send the photo directly to the D-jix by clicking on browse and selecting the appropriate removable disk, but before sending, you can choose the format and size. So if you have photos in .gif or .tif or .bmp, take the opportunity to change them to .jpeg or .jpg and then choose between 5 formats; the one I tested that works well is 640 x 480.
There you go, I fumbled around for a long time but I finally managed to get those photos onto it!!! Phew, it's really not user-friendly!!

Hello,
I also have a problem with my D-Jix M450 4GB MP4 player.
I bought it this afternoon and I already have a big issue!
My MP4 won't turn on. I followed the instructions, which said to press the Play/Pause button for about 3 seconds, but since it wouldn't turn on, I thought it might not be charged, so I plugged it into my computer with the adapter that came with it.
And there, the screen lights up! It showed an image of a computer screen!
Later, I unplugged it and tried to turn it on again, but nothing works... it just won't turn on!
In fact, my computer recognizes it, but it won’t turn on!
Can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance.
Sarah

so that they can be read on the player
when you convert with the provided software
set the format to 160 x 128
when it is converted
just copy and paste
into the player's mvideo
it took me a while to get there too

Hello
You need to copy a file that works on PC and check its characteristics
at least get the resolution... otherwise the various codecs
With MediaCoder, we import the working file into the left window of the video section and check its audio and video characteristics in the right window
Best regards
JC

Hello everyone
Having faced the same problem as you with video playback on my D-JIX M450, here I think is the solution to all your problems!
First, you need to download the "AVIConverter_V5.1.0" version from the internet.
Then you need to encode your files, not in 220x176 as recommended in the software provided with the player, but rather in 160x128. You have this option in the new AVIconverter.
Finally (but I don't think it's mandatory), I created a folder named MVIDEO in the player, as indicated in the manual.
There you go, the target may be directly on your player in the famous folder.
Being very stubborn, I didn't want to be left without a solution in front of this issue that made my little girl a bit sad!
Another piece of info, but maybe someone has solved this issue, the player driver is only recognized under Vista and not under XP.
I hope all this information has been helpful to you!
Best regards
Tophe

Thank you Tophe70, you just made two little girls happy. I had been looking for two days (since that famous date when a big red guy came by) ... so for my part, I downloaded the AVI converter version 5.1 that you mentioned, I created a folder called MVIDEO (not necessary, but at least it's organized...) and I'm converting directly....
However, I stayed on XP... I did try on Vista (since I have a second PC running it) but the converter gets stuck at 99% during the conversion...
Thank you very much.... !! :)

Hello, I'm arriving like a hair in the soup, but I also have a problem with the djix m 450 fm of my children
I'm on Windows XP and my PC does not recognize the djix, and in the configuration CD (provided with it), there is no m450
I looked at the FAQ and did what they recommended with the hidden files, but nothing, no conf450. How did you manage?
If you've had the same problem, thank you.

Hello,
I have the same issue as you, but I don’t see which “avi concerter 5.1” you are referring to. I searched for several versions and nothing matches your details (like the conversion size of 160x128). Just like you, it’s my 9-year-old granddaughter’s player, and I would love to make her happy. Of course, I'm still waiting for news from Logicom’s customer service.
Thank you in advance if you can help me.

Hello,
Here is the shortcut that allows you to download avi converter 5 for free.
http://bbk.ru/files/AVIConverter_V5.1.0.zip
This version allows you to encode your videos in the screen format corresponding to the Djix M450 player.
That is to say, the 160x128 format.
I believe that the CD provided with the player does not match our player. The encoder only offers a single format that is not suitable.
By right-clicking on one of the demo files present on the player, I was able to see the 160*128 format.
Sincerely
tophe70

Hello,
thank you very much! When you're a mom who's not very computer-savvy, you can still manage to upload small videos, but now the problem is with photos, same message "incorrect format." Do you have a tip for photos?
Thanks (it's also my 9-year-old daughter's Christmas gift). By the way, I confirm that the CD provided is really not compatible!! It's incredible, there isn't even the reference m450!!

Hello,
to make the d-jix m 450 work, you need to go to the site
https://www.logicom-europe.com/fr/#/fiche/Fiche/fiche.html?name=d_jix_m_450
and download the "installed CD"
It works well for me like this.

Hi, I find WinRAR too annoying and I no longer use it; I take another free software "7-zip"
the advantage is that you right-click on your folder to decompress it and it asks you where you want to put the folder... I usually choose "extract here" and it prevents me from having folders everywhere...the original compressed file remains with the decompressed one....
See you later!

Hi, I followed Tophe's instructions and was able to convert the videos, but I don't know how to send the videos in mp3 format, so if you could help me, that would be nice.
Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.
Just to give my opinion...
I don't know about you, but I bought the d-jix m450 fm last week.
I trusted the seller a bit too much; I previously had the d-jix yuno 150, which I thought was not bad but broke down^^
Anyway, the seller told me that the screen would be bigger and the image of better quality; I trusted him and ended up with a smaller screen, and to see anything, you have to turn the contrast all the way up and set the images to vivid....
Moreover, some buttons serve three different purposes, so if you’re not too awake, you might forget that to fast forward a song, you need to pause the music.... Wow, that drives me crazy.
All that to say I'm returning it; they should do like with phones and let you try the thing before you buy it!
In any case, happy using, hope you don't have any other issues.

Hello
You haven't fully understood me
1) You need to copy a file that works (on your player) from this device to your PC.
2) Then, with VLC, open it with VLC and go to
>tools >media information
to get the details of the codecs used in the file that plays on your player
3) and you post the results here, meaning you reply to this message by writing down the characteristics of the codecs that you read in VLC
Best regards
JC

For your information, my daughter had a problem with her M450 freezing, we returned it to Auchan's customer service, who suggested that in GL, Djix doesn't repair but does a standard exchange... and one month later I had a brand new Djix 450M with an installation CD much better than the one we bought at Christmas because in the list of DJIX there is the 450M and everything works wonderfully, my daughter is 10 years old and she integrates music, video, and images all by herself thanks to this software provided with the MP4 which is user-friendly and allows transcoding all formats with one click, so you need to get a link or a CD from Djix that allows you to use your MP4.

Hello oby! So, to answer your question simply about your fast playback issue, I don’t know what to do! I tried converting the animated film "Planet 51" and everything worked well on my PC, the playback was normal and once I wanted to watch the movie on my D-JIX player, I had a sound delay compared to the image, getting worse as it went on, and I couldn't fix it! It seems that some movies don’t like our little D-JIX player ^^ however, for other films, it worked very well, so I can’t help you with that, sorry, I'm just as lost as you are ^^! However, if you could vote for my previous message, which apparently helped you a lot, that would be nice for me and especially for others who had the same film conversion issue and are looking for a solution! Thanks in advance and good luck! If you manage to figure it out, don’t hesitate to let me know ^^! Have a nice day

I have read all your messages but I have another problem
I have W Movie Maker 2.6, I made a slideshow and I want to put it on my D-Jix 450
I already have the converter v5
I open it but I don't see my saved video (.MSWMM)
So I changed it with Movie to save the file in AVI format
When I click on add source file, I can see it
So it goes into the list to convert and there it says invalid
I don't understand, can someone help me? Thank you
However, when I convert an .avi video, most of the conversions stop at 99%, and the few times it does finish, the video on the mp4 plays at full speed, it's uncontrollable :/
