Good evening
Here is my case... I bought a TNT decoder at the end of 2009 to receive Canal +, which no longer broadcasted in analog in my area... Perfect start, I was receiving almost all the channels in good quality (except for the multiplex M6, W9, NT1). Unfortunately, the quality began to degrade on some channels, and then I successively lost C+/LCP and F2/F3/F5/ARTE... Recently, the quality was intermittently degrading on NRJ 12 and TMC, and I was starting to give up on TNT!
Then I came across this forum and this tip from "Sunday handymen". Without much belief, I took a pair of wire cutters/a utility knife (no wire stripping tool) and followed the instructions... Once my cable was definitively useless, I thought I had foolishly lost about ten euros.
AND THEN... MIRACLE! This trick really works, I couldn't believe it. A HUGE THANK YOU!!!

I got a new TV and took the opportunity to buy an antenna because the other one is all broken, and I can pick up some TNT channels but it's not watchable. So I bought the One for All SV 9365 because it has 46dB (38 on the other) and I saw some good reviews on forums. The problem is that I can hardly pick up anything; even the analog channels come in worse than with the old antenna, and when it does find TNT channels, they are the paid ones. I get channel 2, channel 3, and occasionally channel 1, whereas with the old one I picked up channels 1 to 6 (5-6 more or less well) + sometimes channel one and two (Belgian channel). It's unfortunate that I didn't see the HD zone file earlier. I'm starting to wonder if there aren't some salespeople promoting the SV 9365.
The problem is that since it’s a flat screen, I can no longer put the antenna on top of it and therefore I lose height; putting both antennas together (I can connect one more on the old one) isn't much better.
As for the radio, I can't pick up anything either, yet according to the TV I should be able to, and the antenna should work too.

T-H-A-N-K-S for the tip!
a knife, a small 15cm strip, and all the TNT for nothing beforehand! now just need to find the ideal orientation and secure everything!
perfect!

Thank you for your information, because I have already bought 4 antennas and they are not the best.
It's a shame that all the sellers are just salespeople and not technicians.
I haven't tried yet, but I'm sure your data is accurate.
I will keep you updated on your proposals.
Thanks in advance.
Bye for now
and see you later.

I live in Martigues and I tried 2 indoor antennas. I was thinking of investing in an outdoor antenna. I stumbled upon this article by chance. And well, it works like a charm... thank you really.
Hello,
I am a subscriber, compelled by the homeowners' association, to Numericable.
I am therefore trying to receive TNT with an indoor antenna and the result is dismal: the image on the screen is all distorted and repeated multiple times.
Am I doomed to this outcome?

I live in Heyrieux (38) and I have the 20 TNT channels. I receive them from Fourvière.
I am on the edge of the signal but with a good TNT installation, it's perfect. I use an old UHF (Ultra High Frequency) antenna from 470 MHz to 860 MHz, bands IV and V which works for all TNT channels except Canal +, which uses VHF (Very High Frequency) from 30 MHz to 470 MHz. The coaxial cable is 17 VATC, the best available in stores; there is 11 VATC, but it’s hard to find, maybe only with professionals. A new standard male connector with a diameter of 9.52 mm in blue that plugs into the back of the TNT decoder. I have 3 televisions connected to my old antenna with a 3-way ferrite splitter, but I have a loss of 6 dB.
By the way, I am a radio amateur on the 27 MHz band; my call sign is 14 Charlie Oscar 02.

Hello everyone
After reading many topics on TNT antennas, I thought, why not !!!!!!
So I took a large calendar that I covered in aluminum, then I made a vertical butterfly with 1.5mm² copper with dimensions of 12.5cm in length. Then, with 3 pieces of 15cm tubing, which I had previously fixed to the calendar, I attach the butterfly (thus 15cm from the aluminum). Finally, I solder one end of the core and then the braid on the other side.
The result is astounding, I couldn't receive TF1 with a rooftop antenna, now I receive everything from my room.

I just came across what you wrote, a big thank you I have never understood TNT so well even after buying several antennas supposedly designed for it. Thank you Guillaume and Emilie.
Hello,
Thanks for the plan!! It's working!!
But we can only pick up a few channels?? We've oriented it in all directions but we still only get the same channels.
Do we still need a traditional antenna?? Or do you have another tip??
Thanks, have a great weekend
Tom and Sophie

Bravo ! Honestly, I didn't believe it much... But by following your instructions, we found a spot in the room where we get almost perfect TNT channels, while we hadn't received anything serious with an outdoor antenna... Thanks again.
I cut the end of the wire, stripped 15 cm, then attached two stripped wires of the same size to form a triangle. I hung it in the attic and now I receive all the channels. While I was getting a signal quality of 17% with an outdoor antenna, I'm now between 75 and 100% depending on the weather.
In addition, I have 36 channels and perfectly clear super Romsty, if you have other ideas, feel free to share.
Hello,
having reception issues, I am trying the solution of stripping a cable.
Can you tell me how far I need to strip it?
I have removed the first layer, the copper braid, the kind of aluminum paper, and there is still the hard plastic cable with the core inside.
Should I also remove this hard plastic?
Thank you for your help, I’m a bit lost with this operation.
