Hello,
I have been working with a MAC for a year and a half, especially with Word 2004 where I was able to easily install MATHTYPE. I now have Word 2008 and the necessary version of MATHTYPE 6 for Mac, which should work with Word 2008. However, I can't find the link that allows me to "embed" Mathtype into Word 2008. In Word 2004, I had to customize the toolbar by dragging a small icon (a square root with the Greek alpha underneath), but I haven't found that same icon in Word 2008, under "Insert" "Customize Toolbar." I would like to know how to use this equation editor software that is very practical for me and necessary. There is an "Equation Editor" in Word 2008, but it's the "light" version of Mathtype.
Could someone help me?
I would like to thank the person who will provide the solution to this problem.

I don't know about Word 2008, but with Word 2007, I followed the instructions on this site, and since then it's working. https://economics.com.au/2007/02/06/mathtype-in-word-2007/
