Strange call from djezzy

Hi, just like you, I just received the same call. They asked me for my name, first name, address, and national ID number, and I gave them everything.
It reassures me a bit that I’m not the only one.

I have "hello" yes me too but I didn't pick up because it's been a while since I went to Djezzy and I fixed the chip problem so why do it every time, if it continues I will change it...!

I just found a missed call from this number as well. It seems to be a service from Djezzy (likely but not sure) for verifying their subscribers who have identified themselves via SMS and not by national ID.

Orascom is suspected (with evidence to back it up) by our government (Algerian) of fraud, tax evasion, espionage, and a whole lot of trouble, so I think this verification is necessary to ensure their network is no longer used by terrorists.

I don't trust these kinds of numbers; I've already received a lot of spam calls from scammers with the complicity of that damn Djezzy.

I’m waiting for an official announcement regarding this procedure; in the meantime, I don't answer calls from unknown numbers ;).

Yes, they called me but I gave no information that proves I'm Djezzy. I told them I won’t provide any information. I bought a SIM card, I gave it to you, but why are they still calling? I see that it’s nonsense.

I don’t think it commits us to give our contact details, especially since we can easily find out if it’s a Djezzy operator or not when the operator confirms our information. We can play with the words, like saying we were born on 04/04 instead of 14/04...
