Hello,

I created a form in Xord 2007.
One of the fields left for free input contains a phone number.
I would like the format of this phone number to display in groups of 2 digits, like 00 00 00 00 00 once the input is completed... and I'm struggling!!
Do I need to go through a macro? Is it in the field properties? (I couldn't find it :( )

Thank you for your help :)
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

That's a good question.... I suppose you're talking about content controls and not the legacy form tools for which it was easy to choose a format...

Although Microsoft claims that these content controls are very flexible, I find them rather limiting for the user. To be honest, I haven't looked into the macro aspect of these controls yet, but I'm not sure if there's much we can do. There are possible events, so maybe with a ContentControlOnExit event, it could work. We'll see...

Uh... don't you want to use a legacy form tool?... ;))

Thank you for the response, Marina.

Well, the method doesn't really matter to me (as long as I'm explained, because right now, the inherited form tool... that doesn't even register with me! Argh!) ... it's less about the method and more about the result ;op

So I'll take everything that's good to take.

Thank you :))

Yes, I found it (with a bit of help from my surroundings ;o) !!

In the properties, by setting the field as a number and simply using the format ## ## ## ## ## (instead of 00 00 etc ... of course, I'm so useless!) it works!

In the end, I was looking far for something that was very accessible.

Anyway, thanks again for your attention M@rina.

PS: I can't mark the subject as OK, it's all grayed out...

Hello,

You have therefore used the legacy form tools. This is probably the best solution.

I’m marking it as Resolved...

Have a great day,
