Facebook: How to add a city?

Hello, on Facebook in the "information" section of the profile, there is an input field for the city where you live, but the problem is that when I type my city, it doesn't appear.
So please, if you know how to add a city, it would be great, thanks!

You can only create a new place using a smartphone. Start by checking that location services are enabled. From your Facebook app:
1- Tap on Places at the top of your news feed.
2- Start typing the name of the place you want to add.
3- If no place with a similar name exists, tap Add “[New Place]”.
4- Drag the map to specify the location, then select a category.
5- Tap Add.
You can then continue posting from this location:
1- Write a message, tag friends, or add a photo.
2- Tap Post.
The default location of a new place you create corresponds to where you are currently located. Additionally, the places you create become public. Thus, other users can see the place when they are on Facebook. Only create a place if it does not already exist.
