Stop Flash Update

Hello,
It is clear that there is a problem with the supplier. Their latest update is as follows:
2008-09-19 Current version: V.020x-0090-0640 (VL:90 and VD:640) So nothing since then... So be careful before buying and paying for a part or accessory!
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

I agree that there is a problem with StopFlash updates because it clearly states on their site that they update the radars approximately every 7 days, and now we are approaching two months.
I have sent two emails through the site regarding this issue, but to date, I have received no response from them.
So indeed, before buying, it is better to wait until the updates are online again.

    Hello,
I also have a problem with Stop Flash since the last update corresponding to: VL 90 and VD 640, which dates back quite a while now; I haven't received any emails from this organization.
I called technical support and every time I get a voicemail saying that technical services are closed.
Bravo! I think we are not the only ones who have been taken for a ride.
Now I think I will decide to buy another model, but which one should I choose?
Maybe someone could give me some advice.
    Thank you all.

I bought it and I heard that the company was in receivership. I went on Google and I found websites selling legal radar detectors (prevention) on Amazon, payment by checks and credit cards. I purchased the GM200. Good luck!

      Hello
unfortunately I read on a forum that the EuGeo company responsible for updates was in liquidation and insolvency.
It seems that it was taken over in October. Let's hope this is true and that they resume updates.
However, I couldn't find the link regarding this information. As soon as I find it, I'll post it on the forum.
      Best regards.

The company SOREDIS, which has taken over StopFlash, announces a resumption of updates for December 15, 2008.
Good news but to be confirmed.

      Good evening,

      Thank you.

a 641 update for the flash stop, oh what joy? or just a scam with only 10 fixed radars between the end of September and today, oh....
a bit lacking as an update, and here we go again with a deception to, I think, clear out stocks before complete disappearance.

      I agree with the captain.
10 radars in 4 months!... no information on the location of these radars!... impossible to verify what has been downloaded!
It smells like an intention to clear out the stocks.
But let's stay optimistic, it may just take time for everything to get back in place, but I am skeptical.

I found it on the internet. Free updates.
Thanks, Dom, for the info on this cheap detector.
Let's hope the company doesn't go bankrupt too, but it will still cost us less.
    See you later.

      Good evening

Yes, Amazon.fr is just a very serious online store where the K1 is sold at a nice price with no shipping costs.

For updates, you just need to install Inforad Manager (I put version 3.5):
(next to "NEW" in the Downloads section)
      https://inforad.net/

      For more reviews:

Actual update or hoax? Still no clarity on the installed radars, but let's be optimistic, perhaps it's a gift from Santa Claus and let's hope it lasts.

If we take a closer look at the pace of the blooming of our roads with fixed radars, we can consider that the list would be up to date. I believe it takes a certain amount of time to get the system back on track after a restart following a liquidation and to initially focus on the essentials, if that is the case. Let’s be patient and support their efforts to understand the reality.

It's been two days since the stopflash site has been accessible!
Could this be the end of our stopFlash? I'm more than pessimistic!

Some pages of the EUGEO site are functioning (products, downloads, contact us)
      http://www.eugeo.com/contacts/stop-flash_contactez_nous/
and this is not the first time there have been issues with updates.

It definitely makes one pessimistic, especially since the last two updates seem incomplete.
So we will have to keep an eye on it...

I am closely following your conversation because I also have this radar detector that I have recommended to several friends! Following the update, the last download dated 12/24/08, I find myself in the embarrassing situation of realizing that we can no longer access the site..... On 01/18/09, so yesterday, I sent an email but still no response (already sent two weeks ago), how can I know if it is just a temporary 'cut' or if the company has really gone out of business..... What a shame, and I am frustrated to be stuck with this device, I hesitate to buy another one if the future is so uncertain!!!!

        Hello Rovemix,
I think it is wiser not to advise him at the moment because his future seems more and more compromised.
It's unfortunate because it was a good product!

    Hello Dom_94

I notice that the price of stopflash is continually dropping, which tends to prove that the future of this product is more than compromised.
However, on all the sites where it is sold (on sale), it is still clearly marked: "free update"! ...
I contacted the company that took over Eugéo two weeks ago to find out if these updates would resume regularly, but to date I have received no response from them.
I am now practically convinced (in my humble opinion) that these last two "updates" (uncontrollable) were intended to liquidate as much stock as possible at the end of the year.
Let's wait a little longer, but I think for this product there will be no miracle.
    Too bad!

the website is still unreachable and the email I sent them last night to an email address (different from the one on the site) that I had received in response regarding the December updates bounced back for nondelivery.
in other words, that address no longer exists and still no updates! ...
I think our StopFlash are good to stay in a drawer and that the Christmas miracle will not happen.
The most surprising thing is that this product is still on sale.

The StopFlash website has been unreachable for 3 days.
This certainly marks the end of updates.
And this product is still for sale!.....

I also went to the site, and out of curiosity, I launched the stopflash software.
A message appeared telling me that I needed to re-register.
I did that, but when I clicked to validate, a blank page showed up with an Error and a number.
I did a search on the Internet and for this error, I found "Table Error."
I don't know what that means, but I ended up stopping everything.
And now the original software for updates won't start anymore!
        Let's wait and see.
If anyone else has the same issue, please report it to try to find a solution.
        Thank you.

I registered again and, at the end, the message:
      Can't open file: 'downloadinfo.MYD'. (errno: 145)

It's true that the software no longer opens, maybe it's due to their site being completely down, the best thing is to wait.

As for me, I've already come to terms with it since I bought an Inforad K1 and if the Stop-Flash works again, that'll be great!!!

      Good luck.

        Hello Dom_94
I see that I’m not the only one having issues, so it’s indeed their site that’s not working.
All these delay messages and all these bugs increase doubt about the future of this product and perhaps are intended, as we feared, only to continue selling as much remaining stopFlash stock as possible.
It’s been 4 months now that this is being messed up and as you said, the best solution is to turn to more reliable brands like Inforad.
After waiting this long, we need to be realistic.

Following my post from January 26th, I notice that since this morning the EUGEO software (which is installed on my PC) seems to be working again.
Recently, when I clicked on the shortcut, I was asked to register, but now the normal software window opens.
As for the updates, they are still dated December 24th!!!

      Hello dom_94
I’m with you on this, it's exactly the same for me.
I completely uninstalled stopflash from my PC and I had the same request for registration when I wanted to download the software again, thinking that perhaps a newer version had come out.
Then nothing happened when I confirmed my registration, just the error page.
This morning, I was able to reinstall the software without any registration request and I installed it without any issues.
I connected my stopflash and it indicated that it was up to date, which proves that the connection works.
Now all that remains is to have occasional updates since the last one was from December 24, which is more than a month ago.
      Let’s hope! ....

As a Stop Flash owner, I had successfully completed a long update in mid-December. Wanting to repeat the same maneuver in mid-January, I encountered a registration request, which I filled out, only to see an error. I requested explanations twice via email to the technical site of Stop Flash (on January 29 and 30), but I haven't received a response...

    Good evening everyone.
I wanted to update my StopFlash this evening and I received the following message during the connection:
An error occurred downloading your update files. Two log files named "error log 0.t" and "error log 1.t" were just created in the "C:\users\Jean-Pierre\Appdata\Roaming\StopFlash\" folder on your hard drive. Please send them to technique@eugeo.com
The Eugeo team will do its best to help you.
Have any users encountered this kind of message before? I have forwarded this message to Eugeo and I am waiting for possible assistance.
    Thank you.

      Hi
I also recently received the same error message you mentioned, but I haven't sent anything to Eugéo.

I noticed that when we download the latest version, in the EUGEO folder we find the latest .dat file and sometimes the previous one that is not immediately overwritten, and it is in this case that the error message appears.
Currently (my Stop-Flash is up to date) if I launch the software and click on "Download File" I have these 3:
      - xxxxxxxxxx DV0646.dat
      - xxxxxxxxxx FV0090.dat
      - prefs.dat

and the error message comes up when we still have, during the update, the file xxxxxxxxx DV0645.dat (but that one automatically goes away).

I'm on Windows XP and I need to figure out how to see hidden folders. These (the .dat files and the created error messages) are located in:
      C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\EuGeo

So you don't have to worry.
