Identification at Orange

Solved

Hello everyone, here is my problem:

I would like my messaging service to require me to identify myself when I check it (which is obviously not the case at the moment).
Even when I go to (Google for example) and type: (Orange then my messaging), I end up directly on it without any identification request.
However, I would prefer to be prompted to identify myself. (This way, when I have people over, they can't check my messages).
I am with Orange.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Chonchon

I found the solution:

I had to create another address.
Otherwise it wouldn't work!

With just one address, you are automatically recognized. That's why I had to create a second one.
And now, after creating a second address, when I click on the shortcut on my desktop to access my emails, since I have 2 addresses I have to log in.
Of course, I have one address that I'm not using, but that's not a big deal. I had no choice.

Talk to you later and thanks!

At the top left

a little gray man with a red cross
click on it
then go to the homepage
log in

orange requests the codes
we see the checkbox "recognize me automatically"

UNCHECK IT

I check a box to be automatically identified but Orange doesn't take it into account, it's frustrating to have to enter my number all the time, grrrrr, it’s pointless otherwise and just a waste of time since I’m the only user of the boxes and the whole computer, thank you for your HELP

On the login page, isn't the "remember me" box checked?

Where is this login page?

Well, that's exactly the problem, Chonchon. I've never been asked for identification codes.
I click twice on the desktop shortcut and I go straight to it without identifying myself.
So I don't see where this famous page is.
Tell me where it's located if you want because I have no idea what you're talking about.

Call your customer service at 3970 from a landline; they can provide you with a code to authenticate yourself.

I did what you told me and a window opens telling me this:

You cannot end your identification because you are automatically recognized when you use your Orange internet access. Go to the home page

So I still don't know what to do.

I had seen that on another forum too.

Well, if you managed to do it all by yourself.

I found the solution for ORANGE:
Just open your messaging (on Orange), click on "My Preferences" (below received and sent), then click on "create new mailbox" in the user account section. Fill in the details, choose your email address, and you're done.
Log out of the main account, log in to the 2nd account (the one you just created)
/!\ avoid checking save password /!\
log back into the main account and you will see that thanks to another computer, you are only logged into your messaging on the computer where you entered the codes. The other computer with the Orange page will display "identify yourself"

without creating a new messaging system, it won't be any use to me

Great, this topic helped me a lot because I needed to create another address, and I followed to the letter what is said in post No. 17, and it's perfect!

Thierry

See you later!

Can you help me? I have the same problem and I don't know what to do anymore. I called customer service who was unable to help me and offered me a technician intervention for 100 euros. I've really tried everything and nothing works, I'm still being recognized automatically... and on all the computers in the house!!! Thank you for replying to me.
