Question

Hello,following a power outage, my computer restarted with the page too large for the screen, meaning that to see the entire homepage, I have to move it around on my screen. What should I do? Thank you.

It must be because the settings have changed, try resetting them in Control Panel/Display/settings.

To reinforce what LUKE1 said; in the display settings (“right-click anywhere on the screen -> Properties -> Settings -> Resolution”) there is the color quality = 256 colors / 16 bits / 32 bits and the screen resolution = 800 X 600 / 1024 X 768 / etc... this is the one to adjust; the higher the value, the more visible your desktop (homepage) becomes on the screen.

the browser is the software that allows you to navigate the internet (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, etc...).

after resizing your desktop, restart your machine and I believe it will work.

Once again, ditch your Internet Explorer and Mozilla!
Use another browser like Google Chrome > Search on Google.
Try it and see what happens.

I don’t think the problem is better solved with Chrome; for this kind of issue, with Firefox, you just need to set the page as you desire and then, instead of closing with the little cross at the top, go to File --> Quit. Closing this way allows Firefox to save all its settings and restart as it was closed, which is not the case with closing via the red cross. However, if the settings are changed again, it may need to be adjusted in the same way. Google Chrome isn’t a powerhouse; it is fast, true, but unlike Opera and Firefox, for example, it cannot read APNGs, is very limited in terms of extensions, etc., which is quite ironic for a so-called next-generation browser when the others (definitely not IE and Safari, I don’t know) have been able to do this for a long time...

But when I left my homepage and came back later, I always returned to the original state. I searched and searched for the problem and finally realized that the culprits were the famous toolbars at the top of our homepage, which often infiltrate without our knowledge when we download software, and they were responsible for all this. Over time, we become overwhelmed by them. I gradually uninstalled them, and everything was back to normal; the zoom I chose for my homepage remained permanent. I had already read a question about this problem where a guy, desperate, called Microsoft itself, I believe, and after many explanations from him about the issue, they told him that there was nothing to be done and that he had to zoom every time he returned to his homepage. Well! That was an incorrect response because I found a valid explanation, among others that will surely be added, to explain the cause of the zoom failure on his homepage. I can tell you that this happened to me twice, and each time I uninstalled that infamous responsible toolbar. You can completely remove them in the control panel. You have to be wary of those infamous toolbars that add themselves without your knowledge because they are often intruders that enter your computer and cause you many problems.
So I suggest you eliminate them as much as possible.
