Missed Calls: Avoid the Trap!

Hello,

Did a number starting with 0899 or 0897 try to call you? Did you miss the call, did it ring or is there no one on the line? Above all, DO NOT CALL BACK. This is not a freebox number despite what one might think, but a premium-rate number (charged €1.34) that is waiting for your calls!!!
This scam has been going on for several months and affects many people. Recently, text messages have been sent, informing you that you have won prizes... Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do unless the messages come from a 5-digit number (like 10076): you need to send the word STOP by SMS to that infamous number (cost of a regular text) and you will receive a confirmation message that you are unsubscribed. They are obliged to unsubscribe you, it’s the law. (and it works! see the comments)

In case of fraudulent SMS of this type, you can report them to 33700, which will take appropriate measures to track down the authors.
