no VGA input signal

Question

Hello,

I moved and I tried to reconnect my HP V220 PC, but the problem is that the screen shows: no signal from VGA input, recommended settings: 1680X1050 -60HZ.
Then it goes into sleep mode: monitor is going to sleep.

Can you please help me? Thank you

Configuration: Windows Vista hp V220 Internet Explorer 7.0

You need to unplug your power cable ... hold down the power button for 1 minute, then plug the cable back in and turn it on! I had the same problem and it worked ;)

Start your computer and you should see a "SETUP or BIOS" field on the screen, indicating to press F1 or F2, I don't remember.

After pressing, you should see a gray or blue menu.

Check inside if you see a VGA field; if so, look to see if it is set to enable or activated.

For those who don't have a geek soul like me and find all this vocabulary a bit Chinese:
Check your cables and screens yes... but also make sure you don't have 2 VGA outputs on your tower! In that case, try plugging the cable into the 2nd one... ;-)
