Hello,
I don't know much about computers, I just installed Far Cry 2 and I can't launch it. It tells me there's an error during the validity date check, so I looked it up and they say to download a patch and install it in the game's installation folder. I downloaded the patch, but I don't know how to put it in the installation folder. Could I get some help? Thank you very much.

Hello everyone,
I have exactly the same problem but I don't have an internet connection at home.
Does that mean I can just forget it? That now if you don't have internet, you have no rights?
This situation is really starting to annoy me. And then they wonder why consoles are doing better...
I had the same issue with Far Cry where the player wasn't compatible. I had to return the game, download it illegally, and then it worked.
If I have to do the same thing for the second one, I will. And I will do it with 0% guilt.
But if someone has a solution, I'm all ears :)

Hi, I have the same problem. Can you give me the address for this patch? I only found the one for the graphics cards. Thanks in advance, see you!
To install the patch, the folder is located in Computer, C: drive, Program Files, Ubisoft, Far Cry 2.

To be honest, I'm stuck at the same level. I don't know what to overwrite and how to install it. I've tried copy-pasting but nothing works, so I'm also waiting for help. Thank you.
hey, it’s unfortunate but I think we all have the same problem =/
I personally installed everything correctly and I had an internet connection, but this crap program didn’t ask me for my CD key, so there's no way to activate the account...
I've been scanning the forums but it hasn’t yielded anything..
for now, all I know is that these farmers at Ubisoft are really getting on my nerves with their crappy security!! It only makes it harder for those who bought it; hackers will always find a way to bypass their stupid tricks =@
all this to ask if there's anyone who has a solution to suggest?? =)
please help us, thanks in advance

It's certain that SecuROM annoys us more than the hackers. Moreover, have you seen where it's indicated on the DVD-ROM box?
When I bought it, I didn't even see it on the box (Internet connection required is written in very tiny letters).
I presume they know that this lowers the number of sales for their games, so since they are required to write it on the box, they do it in a way that we only realize it once purchased and after trying to install it.
Personally, I installed it, and since I spent the weekend at a friend's house, I took the opportunity to unlock it since she has internet (the patch downloads automatically when the installation is done on a connected PC).
