PowerPoint - text animation?

Hello,

In PowerPoint 2007, I would like to display the text on each slide progressively, on click, so that the audience cannot read everything at once (and thus be distracted), but can discover the text gradually.

I'm surprised that I can't easily find this function in the PowerPoint help or in the various FAQs!

The slides are already composed (text written and formatted), I have 30 pages and this is my first PowerPoint, so I hope that this gradual text display is not too difficult to do.

Thank you in advance, it's quite urgent...
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.3

Hello,

If you haven't found this function, it's because you haven't looked very hard:

Select your space that contains the text, then go to the Animation tab, Animations group, and click on Animate!
And there you choose "By first level of paragraph" from one of the proposed categories.

To do more, it's a bit more hidden:

If that's not enough, click on the Custom Animation button, select the animation from the list, and in the animation pane on the right, click and choose "Effect Options". Under the Text Animation tab, you can select which paragraph level to animate.

If you also want the text to appear word by word, or even letter by letter, still in the same dialog box, but this time under the Effect tab, select Animate text "by word" or "by letter".
