[PSP] How to play with a CSO file?

Hello,
So, I recently acquired a PSP. I have two games in .cso format, but no matter where I put them on the memory stick, whether at the root, in the PSP folder, or in the GAME folder inside, when I turn on the PSP and check the memory stick, the PSP says "no game found".... what should I do? I've looked on all the forums, but no one provides a clear and precise solution...
I have firmware 5.00, in case that helps anyone...
