No, the problem is that it erases all the colors that are not black and replaces them with white...

I decided to share all the techniques I know as a photographer on this subject.
Here is a tutorial that will introduce you to 10 different techniques for creating a black and white image using Photoshop.

1. Black and white: basic technique with color saturation,
2. The technique: Image > Adjustments > Black and White,

Yes, at the same time, Paint remains Paint... we can't really expect miracles from this software even though it is still quite useful sometimes!
Well, here we've already solved half of the problem (we have black, just need white now!) ...
Otherwise, use another photo software; among the free ones, I can recommend GIMP, it's very functional although I find it a bit heavy...

Launch Paint by going to Start/All Programs/Accessories/Paint
Open your photo, then go to Image/Attributes and check Black and White in the colors.
Remember to set the post status to resolved once finished :)

Pour rendre une image en noir et blanc avec la nouvelle version de Paint, suivez ces étapes :
1. Ouvrez l'image dans Paint.
2. Cliquez sur l'onglet "Image" en haut de la fenêtre.
3. Sélectionnez "Ajuster les couleurs".
4. Dans le menu qui apparaît, vous verrez une option pour le "Niveau de gris". Activez cette option en cochant la case correspondante.
5. Enregistrez votre image en cliquant sur "Fichier" puis "Enregistrer sous".
Et voilà, votre image est maintenant en noir et blanc.
