There are too many scams on Le Bon Coin! Do as I do, as soon as you see a vehicle with a price that's too good to be true, delete the ad. Go to the bottom of the ad where it says "report abusive content" and follow the instructions. If everyone gets involved, it will reduce the risk of one of us getting caught by these thieves!

They couldn't care less...
I reported 2 dishonest ads, 'Leboncoin' responds with a standard form but the ads remain.
For me, the site is complicit in the scams.

I noticed and reported at least twenty fake ads in two days
(car ads) on Le Bon Coin.
They are removed within half an hour, but reappear the next day
Curiously, Le Bon Coin sends an email, but this email is always illegible...
One has to wonder who benefits from the scam?
For my part, I leave Le Bon Coin to those who enjoy all sorts of nonsense.
eBay is certainly not perfect, not at all!
But at least their rating system prevents this kind of nonsense that wastes a lot of time for well-meaning naïfs!
It's worth mentioning another site, Paru/Vendu, which does not engage in this kind of scam.
All the ads (paying) are legitimate

Displaying the IP and the country can indeed lead to better control of scams, but an effective workaround most of the time is to address internet users from the same region who can travel and whom you can meet.
Proximity helps avoid many troubles...

It's not easy to delete a fake ad on autozone24.
I've been receiving phone calls for a car I don't have for three weeks.
It's impossible to get it taken down and there's no contact number, it's as if this site is run by ghosts.

Today in the mini digger section on Le Bon Coin, many of these listings are fake; the sellers ask to be called at a number starting with 002 259, etc. It should be noted that this is the country code for Benin, and these are premium-rate calls. They have nothing to sell. Interestingly, there are three sellers offering the same machine in different locations and at different prices, and payment is to be made via a cash transfer, of course. It's a big scam. Thanks for the control undertaken by Le Bon Coin.
